Atobe crouched in the hallway, waiting quietly, knowing that just beyond the wall he was leaning against was the classroom in which his boyfriend, Echizen Ryoma, was sitting. He could hear Ryoma's teacher droning on and on about something.
Yes, Atobe was skipping class. But it was Greek! And he knew everything about it anyway, so it didn't matter. And he had wanted to see his boyfriend (and then take him out for burgers before the beanpole boy did).
'So, Echizen, why don't you say your speech?'
Atobe's ears perked up. He was glad that the door was slightly ajar as he listened to Ryoma's speech.
'I have one someone who has been very important in my life.'
Atobe listened carefully; he really wanted to hear who it was.
'He's a bit stubborn, and can be arrogant.'
Atobe's eyes widened. Could the brat actually... No.
'He's so pampered too, and he acts like he owns the world.'
Was Ryoma actually talking about ... him?
'I'm always glad when he greets me though anyway.'
Atobe was listening very intently.
'Even though he has many faults, I love him.'
Atobe almost let out a gasp, but he covered his mouth just in time.
'Karupin is the most important somebody in my life.'
Atobe burst into the classroom, and shouted, 'You ungrateful brat!'
Ryoma smirked. 'Mada mada da ne, Monkey King.'
Atobe got brought back to school and was put into detention.
And Momo and Ryoma went out for burgers happily without him. x owari

'Ah. But if I had to choose a person, the most important person in my life would have to be Monkey King.'
