CHAPTER ONE

The Order of the Phoenix was just finishing a meeting at its Headquarters, Number Twelve Grimmauld Place. Most of the Order had left. The only people still at the house were Sirius, Remus, Tonks, Molly, Arthur, Bill, Dumbledore, Snape, McGonagall, Moody, and Mundungus. The children (Fred, George, Ron, Hermione, and Ginny) were all upstairs asleep as Dumbledore had insisted that the meeting be held in the dead of night.

Just as Molly was about to leave the kitchen to check up on them, she saw Mundungus holding something she didn't recognize. She wasn't entire sure that she wanted to know what it was but decided that she should probably ask anyway. "Mundungus, what do you have in your hand?"

This brought everyone's attention to Mundungus who was quick to defend himself. "I dunno. I found it layin' around somewhere."

"Well, you best put it down; it's probably dark," Sirius recommended.

"Yeah, probably." But, as he was reaching to set it down, two things happened. Dumbledore saw clearly that which Mundungus was holding was a time turner, and Mundungus accidently turned the hourglass at its center.

Those closest to Mundungus, seeing that it was time turner, all reached for it, but none of them could get a firm hand on it and just ended up spinning the hourglass more and more. As they all reacted by reaching for the object, they all had a hand on the hourglass or the chain attached to it. Too late to let go, they all felt the room around them shift.

As the effects of the time turner wore off, the Order members immediately surveyed their surroundings hoping for a clue as to the where and when of their location. They were in a dining room shaped the same as the one they had held their meeting in, but it was clean and light.

Dumbledore turned to Sirius. "Number Twelve?"

"No. It can't be. Even when mother was alive, it was never this bright," Sirius answered.

Remus interjected, "But it looks like the dining room at Headquarters."

"That's the only similarity. I'm sure there could be any number of dining rooms in the world that have that shape," Molly expressed her disbelief.

Dumbledore interrupted. "Regardless of where or when we are, we need to make sure we are safe." He paused and slowly raised his wand. "Homenum Revelio." Nothing happened. "The house is empty. I suggest we take a look around and see if we can find any clue as to where or when we are. But stay together. Better safe than sorry."

At that, the group walked out of the dining room and into the hall. They all froze. Sirius broke the silence with words he was loathe to say. "Well, the where is solved. It may be cleaner and brighter, but it's definitely Number Twelve."

They all nodded. Creeping slowly down the hall, they entered the living room. There were pictures lining the shelves within the room. The group spread out to examine them. After a few moments of shocked silence, Sirius spoke, "I think we're in the future, and Harry lives here."

"With Ginny," Molly added.

Sirius's and Molly's words drew everyone's attention away from the photos, but before they could turn back, they heard the front door open and close. Voices accompanied the sound.

"Take your new school things upstairs, you three," a voice that they recognized said.

Another voice added, "And put them straight into your trunks, I don't want to have to search for everything come September." Everyone knew this voice too.
