Finally
A/N: Writing on livejournal had taught me some…bad? habits. One of them is using strikethroughs as part of a story. I can't figure out how to get FFN to show these, so I've used parenthesis where the strikethroughs once lived. If you know how to do it the correct way, I'd love to know! On to the story…
The big day had finally arrived.
Shin Makoku looked like a greeting card, covered in bows and flowers and random acts of shiny. Cheri, Greta, and the maids had (too much time on their hands) outdone themselves with the wedding decorations.
Gunter was nervously pacing in front of a mirror. He was dressed from head to foot in white with the exception of a lilac penned to his lapel. Anissina had said it brought out his eyes as she (stabbed him repeatedly) used her lasted invention, helps-you-get-dressed-kun, to affix it.
He practically jumped out of his white, patented leather shoes when the door creaked open and a dark head appeared.
"Hi, Gunter. Gisela said you wanted to see me?" Yuuri said as he slipped inside the room, closing the door behind him.
"Yes, Heika! I need your help with something very important," he called out with distress as he drew very, very near to the other man.
"Wouldn't Gwendal or Conrad (or anybody...please!) be more helpful?" The young maou could feel beads of sweat forming on his brow as he laughed anxiously.
"No, it has to be you! I need to... That is, it is very important I know if... What I'm trying to say is... Oh, screw it!" Gunter roughly fisted his hands into the king's black uniform and half lifted him from the floor to meet his lips. Yuuri opened his mouth in shock and Gunter took the opportunity to deepen the kiss.
The contact was energetic and passionate and full of heat and movement and biting and sucking and then it was over, and Gunter's hands were calmly brushing lint from the dark material of Yuuri's jacket as if he had simply been tutoring him on the Mazoku alphabet.
"Thank you, Heika. Sorry for taking up your valuable time. Now you should return to your seat before the festivities begin."
Yuuri stared unblinkingly at Gunter for what felt like an hour before he backed up a few paces toward the door. "Sure, don't mention it (to Wolfram. EVER)."
When the door closed, a much calmer Gunter looked at his reflection with a wry smile. "Well, Gunter, we are finally over our little crush. To think we got so wound up over such a young man. His dark hair and eyes aren't even that remarkable. Well, time to go find our fiancé and get married."
He walked out the door with a skip in his step as he sung out, "Oh, Muuuuuraken!"
