Barbie and Ken; "they were always endgame!"
When Serena Van Der Woodsen was young she always paired up her Barbie with Ken, they were endgame; there was no one else for Barbie than Ken, and, no one else for Ken than Barbie. She didn't care about these new dolls, Barbie and Ken always ended up together, no matter what. Serena was 5 when she met her Ken, he had blonde hair and ocean blue eyes, and, she remember him as this shy boy who asked if he could swing with her, even though the other swings were available. The blue-eyed boy, her Ken, was Nathaniel Archibald. Barbie, or, Serena loved playing and being around Ken, Nate. They would play house and he would always buy her favorite candy, and when Blair, Serena's best friend, was busy looking pretty in her dresses Serena did the opposite. Serena and Nate would play in the playground and chase each other. She always saw Blair as Barbie's best friend, Theresa, but little did the 5 year old Serena know that Theresa, Blair, would take Barbie's, Serena's, Ken who in fact was Nate. So instead of getting with Barbie, Ken got with together with Theresa. But Serena didn't care, after all, Barbie and Ken were always endgame, she would never let her Barbie end up with anyone else but Ken, and her Ken was sure not getting together with Theresa.
Serena Van Der Woodsen stopped playing with Barbie dolls when she was 7, some thought she was too young to stop playing with her dolls but she knew better, at age 7 Nate was best friends with Chuck and Blair, slowly forgetting about Serena. He wanted the four of them to be a gang, she hated the idea, Serena wanted him for herself, but she never told him that, no, she couldn't lose him. The day when she decided to stop playing with Barbie's her Barbie ended up alone, she didn't marry Ken and instead drove away to another place. Ken ended up with Theresa, Serena didn't want that, but Blair played with the Theresa doll and had her marrying Ken. Serena cried for hours that night, she couldn't believe that Barbie's Ken had ended up with Theresa; Serena's Nate was going to end up with Blair.
Serena Van Der Woodsen pretended to be Barbie for one night and ended up being with Ken, Nate. It was a magical moment, but she knew that she had to follow Barbie's lead, so after that night, Serena packed her things and drove away to another place, leaving Nate to be with Blair, leaving Ken to be with Theresa. Before leaving she found her old Barbie, Theresa and Ken, she placed Ken and Theresa in her old dollhouse, she had them there with three kids and made them have their happily ever after. Serena took her Barbie with her, together they would see the world and forget all about Ken.
When she took off without saying goodbye to him the Ken doll fell to the floor and so did a heart broken Nate.
