A/N: Yippee! My first crossover! A little on the sad side, don't let this author note fool you. I really like how this turned out, despite the slight monotony in it.
I own neither Fullmetal Alchemist nor Durarara.
"Al, wait!"
The boy kept running, despite his brother's desperate calls. This time it had gone too far. He kept running, far from the mountains bordering Resembool, maybe faster than ever before.
No matter what they said, he wasn't human.
He finally slowed down at the top of a hill, not even needing to catch his breath or take a break. All he wanted was to be left alone. He sat and rested against a lone willow tree.
"Celty, I-"
The woman hopped on her motorcycle and sped away, despite her husband's panicked calls. This time, it had gone too far. She kept riding, far from the city limits if Ikebukuro, perhaps faster than ever before.
No matter what she did, she couldn't even compare to a human.
She parked her motorcycle at the top of a hill. She could've kept riding, it wasn't like she'd run out of gas or anything. She just needed some solitude. Sitting down on the grass, she laid her back against an old birch tree.
The boy took off the helmet of his armor, revealing there to be nothing inside. He thought back to what had started it, just him attempting to cook dinner for his brother and their current cat.
His brother hadn't even taken two bites before falling in love with the meal. "Al, this is amazing!" he had marveled. The cat was purring in content. "You have to try-" By the time he had stopped himself, the younger was out of the house and running.
Sure, that alone shouldn't have done it, but the boy had had a bad day altogether. Not only had he lost his first fight to his brother, but just the pressure of constant remarks about his missing body finally pushed him over the edge.
The woman took off her bike helmet, revealing her to lack a head. She remembered what had started all this, just her cooking dinner for her husband and the other girl, the one who could control the sword.
The doctor hadn't even finished his first bite before he fell in love with the dish. "Celty, this is delicious!" he had admired. The girl had nodded in agreement. "You should try-" By the time he had caught himself, the woman was out of the apartment and speeding away.
Maybe that alone shouldn't have done it, but the woman had had a bad day altogether. Not only had she been pulled over by the police for speeding, but the many remarks about her missing head had finally driven her over the edge.
They simultaneously gazed up to the sky, where the same constellations spanned over different worlds.
"I'll never be complete..."
