Too Much

Why does someone lock away their emotions? Why doesn't the Batman feel? Here's my view. Character study psychology love.

People say Batman is unfeeling. I disagree. Here's my view. What's yours?

Disclaimer: Batman is not mine, neither is Bruce Wayne. But I wish I knew someone like Alfred.

The Bat does not feel.

The Bat does not care.

But I am not just the Batman. I am also Bruce Wayne, and I feel too much.

Too much pain. Too much heartache. Too much agony.

I feel the pain of the people. I feel the heartache of every mother who loses her child. I feel the agony of the dieing.

I feel the pain of a thousand bruises. I feel the heartache of never being close to anyone. I feel the agony of the loss of my parents.

I am Bruce Wayne, and I care. But I can never care too much.

I care about the pain. I care about the heartache. I care about the agony.

And that is why I am the Bat. Because I do not want to feel what Bruce Wayne feels.

I will stop the pain. I will stop the heartache. I will stop the agony.

And all those who cause such things will instead feel too much.

They will feel too much fear. And they will know…

The Bat is impenetrable. And because of him, Bruce Wayne will no longer feel too much.
