Not Just In My Head

Summary: For as long as he can remember he has had memory's in his head that hadn't happened, that couldn't have happened. Now he finds he may not be alone in this.

Warning: I am an absolutely crap writer and I am aware of this, so please no flames, but anything else is fair game.

A/N: Written in the hopes that where one goes others will follow, as I simply had to see this even if that meant writing it myself.

Universe: Castle/Numb3rs/FireFly crossover

It was supposed to be a simple favor for an old friend "Just come to the English class I teach and say a few words. I have a number of aspiring writers in my class and a few who could be something great with a little encouragement" he was told. The class itself wasn't the problem. The student had been intelligent and well-mannered, making it the most pleasant interrogation he had been through in quite some time. It was afterwords walking over to the campus library to pick up some papers for the next batch of students that it happened.

"He killed me Mal, killed me with a sword. How weird is that?" he saw a face that he had never seen before, except in his memories of the World-That-Never-Was. In his mind the face was immediately labeled with the ridiculous appellation Mr. Universe. They say everyone has a twin somewhere out there he tells himself but can I risk walking away if he is who he looks like. If I can prove once and for all that I am not the only person with these memories, memories of Brown Coats and FireFlys and Reavers, of little girls that could Read minds and doctors that would do anything for them. Prove that the people he cared for in his memory's where in-fact real and….and what? Even if they were real he wouldn't even begin to know whereto look to find them. Maybe not knowing for sure really was better then…. Then what? How did he know that the look-alike would do more then think him insane? "hello? I'm sorry to bother you but I noticed you staring at me and wondered if you needed anything?" a familiar voice asks. It is then that he realizes that he really has no choice but to ask, but how do you ask something like this? Looking into dark brown eyes he saw what he was sure was a glimmer of recognition and made a choice "they cant stop the signal." He said looking at the younger man, who quickly when white and very still. "they cant stop the signal." Richard Castle repeated, and then the other man seemed to wake from his shock "they can never stop the signal" Charlie Epps responded quietly. For the first time they were both sure that the strange things they remembered were real, though neither were sure what to do with this knowledge. At least they wouldn't have to deal with it alone.
