Qui-Gon Jinn.

We had just met.

But you were taken away.

I remember the time you found me.

I was a slave on a planet far from where you lived.

You needed help, I was there to aid you.

You appeared in my owners shop seeking parts for your ship, but received none for you had nothing to trade.

You made a plan, a plan which would get you your needed parts for your ship, but little did I know that I was to go with you.

Together, you and I, finished my pod racer.

You made a wager with my owner, a wager that you get you your necessary parts.

that night, the night before the race, you found out I was Force Sensitive.

With a talk with my mother you believed I was the one to bring balance to the Force.

My mother asked if you could free me.

You didn't let her down.

The day of the race you confronted my owner once again, making another wager.

A wager for my freedom.

Soon the race began, you had no doubt that I wouldn't win.

And a victory I grasped.

Now with necessary parts for your ship, you could leave the planet, but not without me.

Reluctantly I went with you.

We left the planet and arrived on your home planet of Coruscant.

There I confronted the Jedi Council. You and your padawan telling them about me.

I took their tests.

Only to be told that I was not to be trained.

You tried to persuade them but was unable to at the time.

You took me to Naboo with you.

You fought a strong and fierce battle.

But you were defeated.

Now I stand before your burning body, my respect for you never wavering.

I turned to your padawan, now pronounced a Knight.

"What will become of me now?" I stated softly to him.

You padawan turned to me, answering. "The Council had granted me permission to train you."

I turned to your burning body once again, my respect much greater for you now.

You and you alone knew I was to become a Jedi from the beginning.

And for not giving up on me, never doubting me, I respect you more than ever.
