A Buffy fanfic based on the How I Met Your Mother episode called, "Intervention." Set during the episode, "Revelations" when Buffy's friends find out about Buffy & Angel

Intervention

Buffy walked into the library. She noticed that all of her friends were sitting around the big table in the center of the room. They all looked up at her with serious looks on their faces. "What's with all the tragedy masks?" Willow stood up. Buffy looked up and saw a big banner with the word, "Intervention" written on it in red. Did this have to do with her? Willow cleared her throat and Buffy's attention snapped back to her. "This is an intervention." Willow said quietly. Buffy looked at all of her friends, "Well what is it for?" she asked. "It is about Angel. We know he's back!" yelled Xander. Buffy waited for everyone to stop until finally, Willow calmly but told everyone to stop. "Everybody go by the slips of paper that you wrote down."She said. Just like magic, everybody calmed down and pulled out a piece of paper.

wait, thought Buffy "Magic, that's it." Willow had been practicing magic for a while now, she must have been using magic to calm everybody down. "cheater" Buffy said in a whisper. Willow slowly looked up and frowned at Buffy.

"I will start!" Said Xander. "Dear Buffy, I wish you would stop thinking about Angel for a second! Angel might be fine now but what happens if you push him too far again, what will happen then Buffy?"

Buffy was getting upset, her friends couldn't handle her being with Angel again. They didn't understand. She was with Angel and she would make sure that Angel didn't turn bad again. If he did, Willow could do the spell again. It was no big deal... So why was everybody treating it like one?

One by one, every one of Buffy's friends read their letters out loud. When they were finished, they all looked at Buffy for approval.

"Thanks you guys but I don't need this right now!" Buffy stormed out of the library.

"She is probably leaving to find Angel!" Xander said angrily. "Great job with the intervention idea Willow!" Cordelia said sarcastically. Willow sighed. "I don't even know where the idea came from. I just came up with it on the spot!" "Maybe your intervention idea will be more successful in the future Will." Xander said.

"Yeah, maybe!" Willow said enthusiastically.

I am thinking of adding some different kinds of interventions to put in this story. If anyone has any ideas, let me know :)
