Hey people! I'm new to this site, and this is my first story. Whatever happened to Freddie's dad? This might answer some questions.
Disclaimer: I do NOT own iCarly. I DO, however, own a tasteful 80's-looking shirt.
I Twins, Too?
Another day at school. Whoop-dee-doo. Oh. You thought I, Freddie Benson, liked school? How wrong you are. Sure I always got straight A's, but I've never really enjoyed my classes. I stroll casually up to my brunette best friend, Carly Shay.
"Hey Carly!"
"Oh, hi Freddie." I loved that smile of hers.
"Hey look! It's the dork!" Just guess who said it. I dare you.
"At least all people don't find me rude and abrasive," I retorted to the blonde-headed demon which was Samantha Puckett.
"Nerd."
"Freak."
"Geek."
"Lowlife."
"Weakling."
"Joke."
"Benson."
"Puckett."
"Fredward!"
"Samantha!"
Before I had time to run, I found myself on the ground, being held down by Sam. Her hand was pressed against my chest to keep me down, her face inches away from mine. I blushed a magenta color at the awkward situation I was in. "Take it back, Benson."
I slipped my hand under her back and switched our position, me now being on top of her. "Make me."
She flipped us back to the previous position. "You know I hate that name."
"I know. That's why I said it."
Then, she slapped me. Right in the face. Out of nowhere. She slapped me.
"Ow!"
"Weakling." She chuckled and released me from her death grip. I just laid there.
All of a sudden, I heard Sam yell, "Sophie!" and jump over me.
"Sam!" the girl who was supposedly Sophie yelled back. They embraced each other, then pulled back. A river of questions and answers followed.
"How are you?" Sam asked.
"Just fine. You?"
"I'm great!"
"I haven't seen you since.............how long's it been?"
"About four years."
"Wow.........." the Sophie girl sounded generally surprised at how long it had been since the last time she saw Sam. "How's Melanie?"
"As girly as ever."
Sophie chuckled. I wasn't fooled. I got up, dusted myself off, and walked straight up to Sam.
"You're not actually starting this up again, are you Sam?"
"What're you talking about, dork?!" she snarled.
"Melanie isn't real. You said so yourself."
"Yeah she is," Sophie spoke up. I turned and, for the first time, looked at her. She had chocolate brown eyes just like mine, long, dark brown hair, the same shade as mine, and a face that looked exactly like mine. Whoa! Freaky!
I came to to see a picture that Sophie was holding of what looked like two Sams, one girlier, one more tomboyish. "Oh my god! She does have a twin!"
"Yeah," the Sophie girl said. "I used to have a twin brother, but he died in a fire five years ago." A sad look came across her face.
"I'm so sorry," I said in reverence to her brother's death.
"It's alright. You know, you kind of remind me of him."
"Really?"
"Uh-huh. But there's no way you're him. When you put his hands together, side by side, it makes a sideways F."
I put my hands side by side. Surely enough, they made a sideways F.
"Well, mine do that. See?"
"Well............you can't be him because he stays with only a mom."
"I stay with only a mom."
"Well.................you can't be him because he can understand Spanish."
"Try me."
"Eres una impertinente mascota, usted loco!"
"You are such an impertinent mascot, you crazy man."
"Well..........well...........what's your name?"
"Freddie Benson."
"Oh my goodness!" Then she hugged me tight. I could feel something wet on my shoulder. I figured she was crying. She suddenly pulled back. "My name is Sophia Alvarez. My dad's name is David. You're my brother."
It finally clicked. No wonder I always had horrible dreams about a little girl screaming, "No! No!" as I died in a fire. "Sophia! I remember!" It was my turn to hug her.
"Come! You must meet your father!"
Luckily, the dismissal bell rang. She ran off, and Carly, Sam, and I followed.
