"Those Falcons have us cornered!" yelled one security guard. "Form up, and rally the remaining guards!" yelled another one. A young child sat behind an overturned table, crying. Her mother comforted her with soothing words. "Here they come!" Through the doorway, dim, armored figures could be seen through the smoke. Shots rang out as the security guards opened fire with pistols. Loud cracks could be heard from the pistols, but the armored figures flinched no more than they had when they fearlessly walked through the door. Suddenly, a whirring sound came from one of the armored figures, and he emerged with a fully active mini gun. Taking aim, he positioned the mini gun at one side of the room. Guards took cover, and the mini gun opened fire. The area where the guards would have been was shredded up and pierced by the mini gun's awesome power. One stray shot ricocheted into the table. The mother could no longer be heard. An ear- shattering cry echoed throughout the night.

20 Years Later

"My god, what happened here?" The burning husk of what was a planet only hours ago shocked Kali. "Looks like some kind of advanced fission generator almost created a mini-sun," reported Blake, the science officer. Somewhat curious and unorganized, he had made quite a few advances in the science of biotechnology. He had actually used some of his experiments on himself, sometimes successfully, other times with failure. "Well, orders are orders." The soldier named Adam was well equipped for any threat. With a laser rifle and grenades at hand, his equipment was his enemies' nightmare. He also could take just about any shot, laser or missile. "Wait, take another swing around that small irregularity. It might be a surviving area." Jake was the commanding officer around the ship. He would command with an iron fist, but his tactics worked well enough to get the crew out of trouble and was a good shot with a laser pistol. "Jon, what's your status?" A reply came out of the Comm. System. "My equipment is prepped, but my IR sensor and laser pistol are out of commission." "Good, meet us on the bridge ASAP." "Roger." Jon, the technological builder of the group, had the best homemade equipment in the galaxy. He could make just about anything, with reflexes faster than normal to boot. The ship itself was a regular dropship, but this ship was anything but ordinary. The crew was a special mercenary unit sent to spy on a Jade Falcon outpost near Wolf territory. Rumors of experimental technology and training camps were abundant, and the ship Throat Slitter was sent to investigate. However, contact was lost with the Throat Slitter, and the ship Wind Reaper was sent to reestablish contact and finish the Throat Slitter's mission. The whole crew of four gathered on the deck. The other one, Kali, was assigned to the ship because of her knowledge of the area. The planet Kali had nearly been killed on was the one the crew was sent to investigate. "So, what's this about anyway?" questioned Adam. Jake responded, "Five months ago, the Throat Slitter was lost during a recon mission around this area. We're here to find out what happened, and finish its mission if it cannot finish it's own mission." "So we're here to clean up the mess Throat Slitter made?" asked Blake. "In simpler terms, yes." "So why aren't we there yet?" Kali said arrogantly. "We're making a final sweep to make sure there are no more threats, then we'll descend to the surface," said Jake. The ship began to descend into the barren waste that was Camteria.
