Crash! Courtney and Duncan collided into each other, making Courtney fall backwards.
"Ow! Watch it!" Courtney yelled from the ground.
"I didn't do anything! You bumped into me!" Duncan shot back.
"I did not!"
"Did too!
"Did NOT! And that's final."Courtney said,glaring at him. She started walking away,when Duncan tripped her. She got up, her face red, and walked away.
Duncan's best friend Geoff walked over to him.
"What was that?" he asked.
"Fun," Duncan said with an evil grin. "Her eyes looked like they were on fire! She was so mad and I…liked it."
"You liked it!? Does that mean you like her!? Duncan, she's a girl!"
"I don't like her," Duncan protested, "She is just fun to mess with. What's her name?"
"Courtney, I think."
That's a pretty name, Duncan thought.
"He was so mean!" Courtney complained to her best friend, Bridgette.
"My mommy says that sometimes boys are mean because they like you."
"Bridgette, I don't think so. Anyway, boys are mean and gross."
"Not all of them," Bridgette said, looking at Geoff.
"Ew! Do you like him!?"
"Maybe. Do you like Duncan?"
"NO! He is such a PIG!"
Bridgette giggled. "I think you like him."
For the rest of the year, Duncan constantly tormented Courtney. Her hatred for him grew bigger, and he started forming a crush on her. Soon, their mothers ended up meeting and became the best of friends.
"She's acts like she's a princess," Duncan whispered to Geoff. "Hey, that's a good name for her." He got a mischevious smile on his face and walked over to Courtney.
"Hey,Princess."
"My name is Courtney, you pig."
"Princess suits you better."
