This is a Van Helsing and The Walking Dead crossover. I didn't find any, so I made one.

This takes place after the Van Helsing movie and at the beginning of 3rd season of TWD.

I don't own Van Helsing or TWD

Survival Led by God

Prologue

A lone figure walked down a road. He was wearing a black leather overcoat over a grey sweater. He had black jeans and black boots, long black hair that reached his shoulders, stubble for a beard, a cross shaped necklace and a large black fedora. His name was Gabriel Van Helsing. Hundreds of years ago, he had been known as the "left hand of God" as he worked for the Vatican, killing all kinds of monsters and demons as was the wish of the Vatican. He had retired after his friend, Carl, had died.

He held his current weapon of choice, a Remington 870, which he had gotten from some gun store on the way along some ammo and a bag for supplies.

He had spent years living peacefully in Italy, until people had started getting suspicious at his long lifespan. After that, he had moved to the United States of America, which had recently gotten a new president, Franklin D. Roosevelt. He had moved to the City of New York and had lived there for around fifty years, before moving to Atlanta. He spent there for the rest of the thirty years before the apocalypse began. When the shit hit the fan, he had left on the road immediately. The military had bombed the city right after he had left, so he had chosen a good time to leave.

Every single day after the apocalypse, Gabriel prayed to his God for guidance without getting any. He still believed in that God, but his fate had started to decrease more and more every day.

Suddenly, a sound of an engine was heard. Van Helsing stopped walking and looked at the direction of the sound. A grey Nissan sped past him without any indication the driver had noticed him.

Van Helsing sighed and continued walking. These days you couldn't trust anyone. Gabriel continued walking for at least ten minutes, when suddenly the grey Nissan came back, followed by some military trucks. As the cars stopped, a man stepped out of the Nissan.

The man had a brown hair, a black jacket, grey pants, a light brown button up shirt and a pair of black smart shoes. The man seemed to be the leader of the group. All the while the man was approaching Van Helsing, he wore calm face, that betrayed no emotions.

Gabriel looked the man in the eyes as silence settled over them. No one said anything for over a minute. The silence was broken when the man asked him:

"Who are you?"

Gabriel didn't take his eyes off the man's when he answered: "It is polite to tell your name first."

The man flashed a smile for a second, before returning his face to the same calm as before.

"I am the Governor of Woodbury, a small town we live in. It's safe there. And you are?" the Governor told him, earning nod from Van Helsing.

"Gabriel Van Helsing."

So how was it? Good? Bad? Let me know!
