America, the Colonies?
Prologue
Jack opened his eyes and shot up from the ground.
"The Pearl", he said in alarm and looked around. The last thing he remembered was Elisabeth betraying him moments before the Kraken destroyed his ship. Now, he was in a forest by the looks of it and his ship was nowhere to be seen. He didn't even have his hat.
"Just my luck", Jack muttered and took a step forward. He wobbled slightly and brought his hand to his face to try to stop the awful headache from his hangover in vain. The Captain checked his pockets for his compass, before pulling it out.
"Take me to the Pearl", he said and for once, the needle pointed to only one direction. Jack began to walk to the direction the needle pointed to and, after ten or so minutes, came to a clearing where he saw a ship wreckage. In front of him on the ground he saw a plank where the name of his ship, Black Pearl, was spelled clearly. Jack fell to his knees at the sight of his ship. He had lost his ship to Barbossa once, but he was able to get it back. Now, the Pearl was gone for good. He needed rum.
Jack got up and walked around for the hopes of finding some, when he saw his hat on the ground. Jack picked it up and wiped the dust off it, before placing it on its rightful place on his head. The pirate then took his compass out again and cleared his throat, before announcing: "Take me to rum." This time the needle spun around, not pointing to any certain direction. Jack sighed in annoyance and put the compass back to his pocket, before continuing his journey. He needed to find rum.
The pirate Captain was walking through the forest, when he started hearing noises. When the tree line came to view, Jack came across a sign where the words "Battery Park" were written. He then looked around, seeing some people in funny looking clothes chatting and walking around. The air was thick of something heavy that tickled his throat and made him cough. Jack then saw moving carriage-like things with no horses that were moving by him fast. He could even see people inside them. One of them came to a stop and Jack realized something was written on it.
"The United States of... America", Jack read, trying to remember where he'd heard that before. Then he finally remembered, exclaiming:
"America, the Colonies?"
