AN: Written for PenonPaperFingersonKeys, who requested a drabble with Sirius and James Potter being friends, and the prompt shadow. It turned more Sirius centric, but I still hope she likes it.
Disclaimer: Last time I looked I did not write the Harry Potter series...
He knew that he was really unfair towards Harry to look upon him as James' shadow, but he could not help it. Harry had the same hair, a black mess which had never seen a hairbrush. The eyes were just as weak, maybe even weaker. Both laughed the same way, a good healthy laughter which did not ring in anyone's ears.
The differences were glaring. The eye colour was wrong, and so was the scar cut on the boy's face. He tried to not look at it. When he did, his illusion broke into shards of a mirror. Harry would blink, turn his head slightly to the left side as a confused dog.
James is a stag, not a dog, James is a stag, not a dog...
Yet it was so terribly easy for Sirius Black to see James Potter, not Harry when they looked into each other's eyes.
