'What have I done, and how did I get here,' Velanna thought as looked over at the hard warm body of a shem noble as he sleep peacefully with his dark hair falling over his eyes. 'I have left everything I known behind, when I was exiled from my clan. Now I have given purity to a shem and can never return to my people. I am a Gray Warden and could not have done so anyhow, because I am dead to them a tree has been planted and I am not one of them anymore," Velanna thoughts continued as she watched him sleep her fellow Gray Warden, whose life has been hard as hers and know what honor and family mean. The memory of his lips on hers as he took them in the cellar the night before, an action that leaded them to his bed. The taste of honey and ale as his lips touched hers, her head told her to push him away that elves and humans don't belong together, but her heart told kiss him back. It was her heart that won in the end, as she pulled the thief closer to her and felt his hard rouge body of this man against hers. What happened after that was a blur of lips, hands and legs as he carried her back to his room. Now as first streams of orange and pink sprinkle across the wall as dawn brings my human lover awake.

"Good morning milady," He whispers a greeting as his bright gray eyes meet mine.

"'Quel amrun (good morning) Nathaniel," Velanna greeted the human she given her purity to.

"Your still here, I didn't think you would be," Nathaniel said as he sat up behind the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

"Do you wish for me to go," Velanna asked as she turned to him.

"No," Nathaniel answered simply as looked into my eyes. "Are you regretting last night I was hoping that could be the start of something," He asked as his hand brushes mine.

"My head tells me I should, but my heart that I want to be as well," Velanna answered as she turned to face him.

"So… which are you going to listen to," Nathaniel asked as he brushed a stray hair from Velanna's face.

"I think…I'll listen to my heart," Velanna answered as she kissed him and fell into his arms.
