Title: Bloodline Afterwards

Author: dallogli

Port of Acre:

Maria followed Altaïr, exiting the pier. Soon, she realized what he said and asked:

"Wait... are we going together to India?" She asked.

Altaïr stopped and turned to her.

"I..." he tried.

Maria lifted an eyebrow and Altaïr sighed.

"I can't go with you, Maria..." he said. "I need to go back to Masyaf..."

Maria nodded.

"So..." she said disappointed.

Altaïr saw behind Maria, some Templars, taking off the boat what looked like a heavy stone box.

One part of the Archive!

Altaïr took Maria by the arm and quickly hid themselves in a small alley between to buildings.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Templars, with a part of the Archive..." He said, glancing the group with one eye.

"Here?" she asked.

"Acre is a Templar city, remember?" He asked, turning to look back at her.

"Of course..." Maria said, glaring at him.

Altaïr rolled his eyes beneath the hood and realized the Templars were coming in their direction…

"Come..." he said, entering more in the alley.

As the Templars passed, both looked in their direction…

"Very well, stay here..." said Altaïr.

"I can help you..." said Maria.

Altaïr turned to her again.

"No..." he said. "I don't want to see you getting into more trouble...stay here!"

And with that, he went after the Templars. Maria was angry.

"I'll show it to him..." she said.

Sighing, she too followed her ex – friends, but twice as careful, for not to been seen by the Templars or Altaïr.

For a while both looked at the knights...

At this point, Altaïr already knew that Maria was behind them too because, he had seen her trying to hide herself.

Sighing, he just decided to watch the movement below... in the middle of the fortress, the Templars put the stone box in the ground and left..

Altaïr knew that something was wrong, but couldn't think of what it could be... at this point, he saw an arrow, shot by an archer and quickly got out of the way, to the side. He saw another one, but when he got out of the way, he lost his balance and fell down.

Feeling his back hitting the ground abruptly, Altaïr squeezed his eyes and groaned in pain. The Templars appeared. Soon, they surrounded Altaïr.

"Well, well, well... look at what we have here..." said one of them. "A small fallen eagle..."

Altaïr quickly rose to his feet and unsheathed his sword. The Templars did the same.

"I'm not afraid of you..." Altaïr said.

"And what are you going to do about that?" asked the Templar, knowing very well that a trapped Assassin was very, very dangerous.

Altaïr moved his hand, causing the sword to move to one side to another and with the other hand, made only a small signal for them to approach...
