Everyone at school thinks she's the pretty, talented, happy go-lucky person who lights up the day with her smile.

If only they knew she was really dying inside. If only they knew she cried herself to sleep every night. If only someone would pick up on those looks she gives him.

Beckett "Beck" Oliver—the one she'd fallen head over heels for ever since the play they did together, Uptown Downtown. How she wished that his lines were real. How she wished the looks he gave her were real.

But of course, he was already tied up in a relationship with Jade Fucking West. And she just happened to hate Tori's guts. Cruel irony.

Tori even resorted to dating other guys in hopes of somehow taking her mind off of him. Steven Carson, the one who had been cheating on her with a web show host in Seattle. Ryder Daniels, who had been using her for a good grade. Both relationships only ended up breaking her more.

Every day, she sees him kissing Jade by the lockers before school starts. Every day, she has to deal with their constant smiles and hugs.

If she got stabbed in the heart, it would hurt less.

People see him as the #1 actor in Hollywood Arts—and, of course, Jade West's much more laid back boyfriend. The main contributor to the school's biggest couple, Beck&Jade.

He thanks God for his acting skills, because he's practically living a lie.

Every day the guilt bubbles up inside of him. Because he's not in love with Jade. Maybe he was at one point, but certainly not now. But he knew she'd behead him if she found out.

He was in love with Tori Vega.

Honestly, who wasn't, in their own way? She was beautiful, she was talented, she was such an angel to everyone.

Every time he kisses Jade, he wishes it could be Tori. Every time he says I love you to Jade, he wishes he could be saying it to Tori. Every time he and Jade are in his trailer, having…well, what every teenager wants, he wishes he could look down and see Tori's face.

So, each time someone would question his relationship with Jade, he'd simply stay quiet.

Sadly, they're the only ones who are oblivious to their love of one another.
