Tiffany tried to remember why on EARTH she decided to babysit for the twins again. They were stubborn, annoying, selfish, little brats! They pestered her for ice cream, and Tiffany finally caved in.

"But our mum always lets us have ice cream before dinner! You're so mean! We HATE you!" said the diabolical twins, pouting their lips and facing the other way.

"Fine, here, just take it. Please, please, PLEASE stop bothering me!" said Tiffany, reaching for her phone.

The twins looked at the ice cream and said. "But our mum always puts chocolate sauce on our ice cream! Your the worst babysitter we've ever had!"

Not wanting to disappoint the twins, Tiffany had to go downstairs into the basement and get the chocolate sauce from the fridge. On her way down the stairs, she could still hear the twins whining and shouting upstairs. When she reached the fridge and got out the chocolate sauce, she realized that outside of the window was a girl in a red cape. She was looking at the ground and her hair covered her face. Frightened, the babysitter raced back up the stair. A million thoughts were racing through her head.

"Who is she? What is she doing? Is she OK? Does she need help? What if she's in trouble? Should I have stopped and asked her?"

Tiffany decided not to call the police.

"Hopefully, I was just imagining things. I mean, that's ridiculous! Why would she be outside of this house?" she thought to herself.

"What took you so long? We've been waiting for ages! And anyway, we've already finished our ice cream, can you get us some more? Please? Or I'll tell my mum!" said the twins.

Deciding that she did not want to get fired, the baby sitter went down to the fridge.

"Don't worry Tiffany, it was just your imagination. You should not have watched that movie last night, it is sending you bad vibes. In... Out... In... Out... And anyway, it's just a girl in a cape, I mean, it's not like she's dangerous or anything. In... Out... In..." she said, as she reached to open the door.

She tried to not look at the window when she made her way over towards the fridge. When she started to head over towards the door, she allowed herself one peek, just to reassure herself. Her worst nightmare had come true. This time the girl in the red cape was closer, and she held a knife in her hand. Nearly fainting with shock, she struggled to get back up the stairs.

"Ha ha ha! Tiffany! You look like you've seen a ghost!" the twins laughed as Tiffany stumbled into the room.

She did not wish to frighten the twins, so she kept her mouth quiet and started serving the twins the ice cream. She hoped to god that the twins wouldn't make her go down to the fridge again.

"Will you never learn? Our mum always puts cherries on our ice cream! You're so dumb, why are you even a baby sitter?"

Turns out, Tiffany spoke too soon. She started to make her way down the stairs, slowly and carefully. She didn't hear any noise upstairs, which was good; they were behaving. When she finally reached the bottom the the stairs, she turned the handle and walked in. She glanced over towards the window... The girl in the red cape was there! The knife in her hand had blood dripping down... But who's blood? Without thinking, the baby sitter slammed the door and ran upstairs.

The twins had been murdered. The baby sitter fell to her knees. She grabbed the phone and called the police.

Shortly after the police got here, Tiffany decided that it was time to tell the parents. She told them everything, how their daughters were dead, about the girl outside the window in the basement.

"But... We don't have windows in our basement... Only mirrors."

Moral of the story- Basements don't have windows, stupid.
