As the forces of Optimus Prime and Megatron fight on Terra, the rest of the Autobots and Decepticons continue their long and destructive war in the stars. These are the stories of the mechanoids who take part in this conflict as they fight both each other and greater threats from beyond.

Introduction

Distant Stars is a collection of stories that expands and deepens the Titan universe from the viewpoints of various characters, good and bad. These stories recount the skirmishes and battles in the ongoing Autobot-Decepticon conflict. It's a pan-galactic war that evolved from being stationary on Cybertron to spreading out to other worlds, a period of the War dubbed as the "Remote Age". This conflict, which has already torched thousands of worlds, and not all of them just by Decepticons, will only end when one side is annihilated.

Distant Stars takes place after the War for Cybertron, following the total collapse of the planet's ability to support life after an event known as The Fall, which led to the exodus of all combatants to the stars to continue their war. Most of these chapters take place in the 4 million year time period in which the crews of the Ark and Nemesis are still in stasis, but some occur the same time as the main Titan story. These chapters are not set in any kind of chronological order, taking place at various points in the Titan timeline, sometimes expanding upon pre-existing plot points, sometimes setting up ideas to be explored later, and sometimes just telling a story. All in all, it mostly won't interfere with the main story, but it will introduce elements that will be referenced in the long run.

Think of this as my version of the Spotlight series Simon Furman did during his run early in the IDW comics. I even adapted some of those spotlights to add some flavor to this fic.
