A/N: Hooray! Another story! It's a little shorter than I would have liked but I have just not found the inspiration. Either way ENJOY!
"Keelah…There she goes again" Tali thought as Commander Shepard made her way to the Vid-Com room. The young Quarian thought that she would never be able to express her feelings to the Human officer. She turned back to the task at hand but couldn't take her mind off the Commander.
Tali stiffened up as Shepard came out of the Comm room and stopped beside her. She turned to greet the Commander. "S-Shepard?" She stuttered. "Tali'Zorah" Shepard nodded. "What are you up to?" Tali couldn't stop keep her voice straight. "I-I-I…u-uhhh…" To the Quarians surprise, the Commander laughed softly. "Well, when you're finished with what you're doing here, why not come meet me in my cabin? Just if you want to talk about things" She said with a wink, walking off to the elevator. Tali stared after the human, ever so thankful of her face plate, hiding her blushed face.
Tali had spent the next few minutes debating with herself whether she should go to the Commander's cabin or not. She decided that she couldn't keep her feelings inside her. She would go up and tell Shepard how she felt. The elevator ride itself felt like 5 years. Tali was more nervous than ever before as she arrived at the Commander's cabin. She lightly tapped on the door which almost instantly shot open.
"Tali" Shepard greeted her with a warm smile. "Come in" Tali shyly stepped into the cabin. "T-thank you Shepard…What was it you wanted to talk to me about?" Tali asked, standing awkwardly in the middle of the room. "Well actually, I was hoping you could tell me if something's wrong with you. When I talked to you earlier you seemed…distracted" Shepard replied, walking around Tali to sit on her bed. Tali stiffened up. She hadn't expected the Commander to start the topic, even unknowingly. "Uhh…well…you see S-Shepard….I-I…" Tali stuttered, shuffling her feet on the spot. "C'mon Tali. You know you can tell me anything" Shepard said with a small smile on her face. Taking a deep breath, Tali looked Shepard in the eyes. "I-I have f-feelings…for you Shepard…" She said looking away shyly. There! She said it! Now the Commander can shoot her down.
"I know" Shepard said, blushing herself, causing Tali to just stare at her. Shepard patting next to her, indicating for Tali to sit on the bed next to her. The Quarian shyly sat down, still staring at the Commander. "It wasn't too hard to tell. I mean, you are really cute when you're nervous" Shepard giggled. Tali just kept fidgeting on the bed, not quite sure what to say or do. "In fact…I kind of like you too" Shepard continued, looking at Tali shyly.
"R-Really?" Tali asked, the smallest hint of excitement in her voice. The Commander nodded, feeling her face grow red. Tali placed her covered hand on Shepard's arm, staring at the human. Shepard put her hand on the side of Tali's face plate. She looked into the Quarian's dull eyes behind her face plate; Tali looking into the human's bright green ones. The Commander leaned her forehead against Tali's face plate. "I hope we can stay together in that case…even after this war" Tali blushed, squeezing Shepard's arm.
