I do not own these men, wish I did, but I don't *sigh*

*Authors Note: Ok this story is short. It was originally suppose to be longer and totally different, but I drifted. I hope you like it. Please R&R!*

Sleepless in Los Angles

"Roy? Psssst. Roy? You awake?" John whispered to his slumbering partner.

"No. What do you want?" Roy whispered back, his words sounded cold. He loved Johnny like a brother, but sleep was golden to a fireman on shift. He rolled over to look at his partner.

"Do you hear that?" Johnny asked.

"What?"

"That." Suddenly, the room was filled with a loud snore.

"Who is that?" Roy asked.

"Will you guys shut it!?" Chet whispered/yelled across the room.

"Oh, Shut up Chet!" Johnny answered back.

A moment passed as a loud snore filled the room again.

"Who is that?" Chet asked.

"Who ever it is, they need to roll over." Roy said.

"Marco? Cap? Mike? Any of you awake?" Johnny asked.

"I'm awake. I have been for 15 minutes. I think it's Mike. I don't know why Cap isn't awake." Marco responded.

"I am awake. Mike's been getting louder for the past hour." Cap said.

"Why doesn't someone just wake him up?" Johnny asked.

"Don't you remember the last time? He almost killed me!" Chet said, remembering how he had tried to wake the sleeping engineer and Mike had jumped at him and got him to the ground before realizing what he was going.

"Well, what should we do?" Marco asked.

The men thought for a moment as another loud snore filled the air.

"Could we throw a pillow at him?" Chet suggested.

"Oh, that's nice ya twit." Cap said.

"Hey, what if we simulated a call? We could turn the lights on and all start moving around." Roy suggested.

"What about the tones?" Johnny asked.

"Maybe he won't notice?"

"Let's try." Cap said, as he got out of bed. He reached for the bunkroom lights and turned them on. The other men got out of bed a put on their turnout pants. Mike woke up to the lights and commotion. He shot up, put his pants on and ran out into the bay, right past the captain.

"Mike?" he said after him.

He got no response as Mike ran over to the bay door switch. He switched the up button and the doors opened. He ran over to the engine and was in the process of putting his turnout coat on when he stopped. He looked around, he saw the other five men staring at him from in front of the engine.

"Uh…guys?" he said.

"Mike?" Cap said.

"Aren't we…um…gonna go?"

"Go where?" Cap and the others were trying hard not to laugh, but seeing the engineers bewildered face had them close to exploding.

"On…the...call?" Mike said slowly, realization setting in.

"Mike, there isn't a call." Roy said.

"Then, why…?"

"Your snoring, Pal, seriously, sleep on your stomach." Cap said. Chet and Marco were now giggling like girls behind him. Roy and Johnny were still holding them in to save Mike's feelings.

"Oh, Sorry." Mike's face reddened. He knew his snoring was a problem. "Why didn't you just wake me?"

"'Cause last time I tried that, you almost killed me." Chet said regaining posture from almost hitting the deck with laughter. Marco still had tears in his eyes.

"Come on Pal, let's go back to sleep." Cap said.

The men filed back into the bunk room. Mike lay down on his bunk. Sighing, he turned over so he could sleep on his stomach.
