Hallelujah - From Van To Hitomi.

This is a non-humorous parody of "Hallelujah" by Rufus Wainwright. It's written in first-person, in Van's voice. It takes place after Hitomi leaves Gaia the first time, and before she returns during the show. I haven't had much (OK, any) experience writing sad songfics, but I felt maybe it was time to try something new. But don't worry. I still do comedy. ^^

Hallelujah - From Van To Hitomi.

~~~~~~
I heard there was a place above
You said it was the world you love
And you don't really care for warfare, do you?
My life then was a dark monsoon
Fanelia, the Mystic Moon
This broken king and his own
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
I think you were my source of light
I saw you kiss him in the night
Your beauty in the moonlight drew me to you
And through the rain I caught your stare
The night of pain I couldn't bear
My colleague was composing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
I wonder, were you there with me?
I thought I heard you scream for me.
You saved me and I owe my living to you.
Then you were gone in a shaft of light
My love transcended into night
My wings collapsed, they knew no
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
By day I watch your home above
My soul still bears the scars of love
And yet I celebrate that I once knew you.
That song is meant for dragon souls
For those with hearts of purest gold
I mourn and regret singing
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah.
