My Box

I want to smash

the box that cages me.

The glass walls,

they show but can't

deliver.

Deliver me to the darkness.

Deliver me from myself.

Deliver me from my box,

my Hell!

It's so empty inside,

just the cold glass,

the suffocating air,

and concealing sanctuary.

I'm trapped between two worlds

my heart in the black.

My head in the white.

Like a siren

calling me to the dangerous rocks,

steering me...dragging me

...but not inside my box.
