Long ago, there was a man who followed the path of his dark designs. Of
course, this in itself is
not at all unusual. In every time and generation there always an amount of
evil that stalks the planet. But, this man was not one that was destined to
be forgotten in the sands of time. For this man beared the symbol of the
triforce, and he lead of a campaign of darkness throughout the land.
His goal was very simple. He desired a power that was even greater than that he carried (the Triforce of Power). He wished to carry with him the completed Triforce, and use it to conquer the lands of Hyrule. He sought to gain access to the Triforce through the Sacred Realm, the dwelling place of the holy relic. He searched high and low through the lands to find the three Spiritual Stones, that would unlock this place to him. Unbeknownst to him, the final key would be one in which he could not wield.
For the Spiritual Stones were already collected by a youth clad in a green tunic, by the name of Link. Him and Princess Zelda sought to find the Sacred Realm before Ganondorf. For they decided it would be the only way to save the land from Ganondorf's oncoming wrath. Unfortunately, they had been wrong. It was not until Link unlocked the door to the Sacred Realm that Ganondorf was able to access it for his own vile purposes.
Thus, the youth was sent in to a long hibernation. In his absence, a terrible war erupted between Ganondorf and the rest of Hyrule. This conflict became known as the Imprisoning War. When the hero was finally awoken from his slumber, he found his nation in dismay. Ganondorf had conquered the lands, and he turned it in to one of darkness and evil. It was up to the boy, now a man, to take back Hyrule from the clutches of Ganondorf.
One by one, he reclaimed the lands in the name of the forces of good. Awakening the sages, he found the power to stand up to Ganondorf's army of darkness. He conquered the obstacles that stood in his path, and inched ever closer towards his country's restoration. Finally, with the power of the Master Sword and the Sages of Hyrule he went to Ganondorf's Castle. It was time for him to fulfill his destiny as Hero of Time.
Facing many perils in the castle, the hero eventually made it to the castle tower. He faced Ganondorf, and saw to his end by the blade of his sword. But Ganondorf, through his last bit of strength, destroyed the castle and transformed into an evil pig-like beast known only as Ganon. However, with the help of Princess Zelda and the sages of Hyrule, the hero prevailed, and sealed Ganon away in the Sacred Realm. The seal was to last for the ages, so that Hyrule could return to their ways of peace and harmony.
