It was two a.m. at the Potter house and a very pregnant Ginny Potter was pacing the floor.

Sometimes she hated her husbands job as a auror. He would often be called in for different missions, not being able to tell her anything about it, for security reasons, and she hated it.

Harry was always on call, being the up-and-coming auror he was, and was usually given no warning before going on a mission. He hated leaving Ginny, especially now that she was seven months pregnant with their first child, but he knew he was protecting someone, possibly saving their life, every time he caught a rogue wizard.

Harry had been gone for about a month now, one of his longest missions so far, and Ginny couldn't sleep for the terrible nightmares that often plagued her whenever Harry was gone. The nightmares were always of the one moment that she truly thought he was dead, being carried towards the destroyed shell of a once magnificent school in Hagrid's arms, only to be laid at the feet of that terrible excuse of a man.

She could still remember the terrible pain, followed by numbness and disbelief that she felt when she saw the man she loved, the man she had always imagined marrying, lying seemingly lifeless on the ground.

She could still remember how the world seemed to stop and crumble apart when the thought entered her mind that she never would marry him, she never would get to tell him how much she loved him, she never again would be able to watch him while he flied, every trouble leaving his mind.

Ginny was pulled from her thoughts by a blue haired, seven-year-old Teddy Lupin grabbing her hand, stopping her from her relentless pacing.

Teddy was used to this action, as she often paced when his godfather was away, and just pulled her over to the couch and curled up into her side, moving himself so he didn't press on her pregnant stomach, feeling her relax.

Ginny smiled down at the child that might as well be hers and kissed his forehead. As she began to run her fingers through the young boys turquoise locks, she could feel him gradually fall back asleep, knowing he had done his job. Gradually she fell into a calm sleep alongside him.

Ginny awoke the next morning to an excited squeal, small footsteps, and a mixture of deep and childlike laughter.

She bolted upright and had barely gotten to her feet when Harry had her in his arms kissing her face all over before finally kissing her lips.

Brilliant green eyes met brown, but then looked downwards at the child who had his arms wrapped around their legs, smiling up at them.

The small, but soon to be growing, family was together again.
