Hi everyone, SkatingDJ welcoming you to another story! (very weary voice) Yeah, another story. I shouldn't be doing this (cuz of my school too), but I'm really excited to try it out. Watched BH6 two nights ago, stumbled on a fanfic of Wolfwind97, now I'm hooked! Special shoutout to Wolf for the inspiration!:) First fanfic of BH6 and the idea is a little messy and not too familiar with it all yet, don't know how this is going to turn out but I hope it's okay:) Tried to buy the movie just now but won't work:( And lol just killed my hip in skating but its getting better XD But anyways, please Enjoy!
A/N: I own nothing, not even the cover. Rated T for violence/blood and a touch of language (mostly to be safe lol) and plot is somewhat driven by Marvel Agents of Shield Skye Inhuman. Just saw the trailer (never watched the series) and thought it would be an awesome plot to take off from! Not watching any more so I can finish the story my own way.
Warning: Probably OOC (for now) and phony self-doubt (but it's a part of the plot).
Hiro sat on the chair near his desk in his cluttered room, staring at his megabot. Make that his very cluttered room. Aunt Cass suggested that he moved Tadashi's items out of his half of the room so Hiro could take up the entire room for himself and give him some space. Hiro declined that suggestion in a heartbeat. Somewhere deep inside him, Hiro knew that by getting rid of his older brother's belongings would help him move on and be rid of the pain but he couldn't. It felt like Hiro was going to loose Tadashi completely if he got rid of his belongings. Hiro could never forget Tadashi. Hiro knew that remembering loved ones wasn't through materialized possessions, but through the heart, but Hiro couldn't do that simple task and loose so much.
Hiro often thought of his older brother Tadashi. Mostly wallowing in grief over his death. He really missed his older brother. Hiro replayed his dear brother's last words to him over and over again,
"Somebody has to help him."
With that, Tadashi left Hiro and never returned.
Hiro felt defeated. He didn't do anything. He only did something after it was too late. The impact of knowing his brother was gone forever was over a million times harder than the impact he took from the heat explosion previously to Tadashi's demise.
After that, Hiro felt like a nothing. He always looked up to the older Hamada; to follow in his footsteps... and now he was gone. It was like Hiro didn't have a purpose anymore. He didn't even want to go to the college and and his brother worked so hard for. It brought back memories that Hiro never wanted to revisit. He was lost. He couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, couldn't even get out of his room or even open the curtains to let the glorious sunlight enter his room.
Until...
Baymax came along in (literally) the stupidest way possible. Once Hiro became more acquainted with the robot, it reminded him of what he loved to do, which indeed improved his emotional state. Baymax kinda turned into his older brother. He was always there for him and had feelings for the younger Hamada... even if he was a robot. That's why Hiro couldn't bear to see Baymax die. It was like loosing his brother all over again or at least a huge part of him, except this time, for good. Hiro was so thrilled when he knew he could bring Baymax back to life.
Hiro became best friends with Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred. He attended college and aced his classes, (surprisingly) learned new and cool stuff, and exceeded in his technology. He spent most of his time though riding on Baymax and patrolling the city of San Fransokyo with his superhero friends. But when Hiro was alone and doing nothing, the only thing he could think of was Tadashi.
Hiro always tried to dig himself out hole of despair he was in but the loss of his dear brother gnawed at him too much. It wasn't like he was going to forget soon either. He wasn't supposed to forget obviously, but he needed to cut down his grief. So instead, Hiro began thinking about the basics of his life and his new job as a superhero.
My name is Hiro Hamada. I am almost fifteen. I'm only a little over five feet tall. I attend college in technology. I am also a superhero with Baymax, Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred. Baymax knows the martial arts and can fly. Gogo uses electromagnetic technology -wheels- to go unimaginably fast. Honey Lemon uses her bubbly chem-balls to do all sorts of cool and crazy chemistry. Wasabi has his laser induced plasma to practically slice through anything. And Fred is "Fredzilla" in his monster costume making him able to super jump and breathe fire. And I-
Hiro sat up straight.
What do I do?
Hiro frowned and thought hard.
I am the leader, tell everyone what to do and I guide ride Baymax, but my superpower is...
Hiro huffed in defeat and stared hard at the ground as he realized; he didn't have a superpower! Sure, being leader was important so the team would stick together, but what's the point of that if he can't even defend himself? He almost got himself and his friends killed. He was just a scrawny, five foot tall, almost fifteen year old kid. The others were the ones who got the job done, even though so far, it's only been stopping thugs (mostly for botfighting.)
Hiro shouldn't have felt as bad as he did now but he couldn't help but feel guilt succumb over him and a strong desire control him as well. To be something better, to actually help and not get in anyone's way. To be a hero like his friends. But Hiro was a hero! And he knew it. The team did it together, they couldn't have done it without each other. It was an odd sensation that was nagging at Hiro, he hoped it would wear off soon.
Soon, an abrupt call came in on his computer, making the young Hamada jump out of his skin.
Hiro scrambled out of his seat and acted like he just wasn't wallowing in self pity just now. He then pressed the power button as Gogo, Honey Lemon, Wasabi, and Fred appeared on the screen, all four dressed up in their superhero outfits. Hiro's slump form tightened as he knew trouble was about.
"Hiro, big trouble." Gogo said in a stern voice.
"Ya think, Gogo!?" Fred teased and received a well deserved elbow in the ribs from Gogo.
Hiro scoffed, "Tell me something I don't know." He said sarcastically. "What's going on?"
Wasabi pondered and looked up with a grin, "Well, I upgraded my laser plasma blades a few minutes ago and Honey invented some new chem-balls and-"
"Shut it, doofus!" Gogo barked, her stern brown eyes melting.
"What's it this time? Robbers? Thugs? Gangsters?" Hiro said as he twirled around in his chair.
"No!" Honey Lemon said thickly. "Hiro! This is serious! You must come immediately! We're talking about Kabuki Man again!"
This caught Hiro's attention, even Honey Lemon's stern attitude was enough.
"Professor Callaghan?" Hiro asked intently with curiousity and confusion.
But that wasn't right! Professor Callaghan was still in prison. And what could he do? Every single microbot was destroyed and Hiro himself shut down the experiment. The microbots were no more! The police would have jumped on Callaghan by now if he had escaped.
"We don't know Hiro, but this is going to be extra difficult." Honey Lemon spoke.
"Why?" Hiro asked, prepared to get ready to go.
The gang looked at each other worriedly as Hiro listened intently.
Honey Lemon continued with a heavy sigh as tension passed through the room. "People claim that the Kabuki Man entered San Fransokyo, wreaked havoc, and then headed west toward the same island we fought Callaghan on. People also claim that this man... has superpowers."
Hiro burst out laughing and chortling. He wiped his eyes from tears of laughter and snorted, thinking that he would see his friends smirk and tell him to get off his ass and help them catch a gangster in a Mardi Gras mask but they wore stone cold faces. They were serious. But it was impossible!
Gogo spoke, "He or she can cause things to float in the air, lights to flicker, and most importantly... earthquakes. San Fransokyo used to be famous for the earthquakes you know, Hiro."
Hiro couldn't see what the problem was, it was all logical sense. "Guys, easy. Light beam lasers or energy waves to make objects float. Lights flickering is the oldest tech in the book. I could use a little more explanation on the earthquakes but come on guys..." Hiro groaned as confusion pulsed in his mind.
Fred rolled his eyes. "We're not idiots, Hiro. Dude, we looked over the footage numerous times and we got nothing. We checked everything in the footage and it's as if this guy does have superpowers. Real superpowers... but I mean, if you think about it, it's pretty awesome!" Fred exclaimed in a cheery tone.
"But in the wrong hands..." Wasabi corrected.
Hiro nodded. This was something to look into at least. "Okay, let's go. Meet you at the power plant on the West Island. Give me the footage and I'll look at it along the way."
Gogo leaned over and pressed a button, a loading bar showed up on Hiro's end and a video of San Fransokyo popped up. Hiro downloaded it onto a drive and took it out of his computer and shut off the call. Hiro muttered "ow" and suited up.
An inflation sound came from the wall next to the stairs and a huge white balloon began to inflate. Soon, a white and round robot came into form and stepped out of it's battery pod.
The white balloon robot squeaked over to Hiro and waved it's hand robotically. "Hello! I am Baymax! Your personal health care companion." The friendly and plush robot spotted it's best buddy. "Hello, Hiro. I heard your call of distress. What seems to be the matter?"
Hiro stuck his helmet on, ready to go. "Baymax, suit up. Fighting time."
Baymax nodded and went back into his pod as a dial of clear tech screens flipped up. Baymax selected a certain screen as his red and purple armor began to appear on the white robot. In no time, Baymax was suited and ready to go. The big robot stepped out of the pod and slowly made his way towards the window.
"Hey, Aunt Cass?" Hiro called out to his aunt as he clumsily followed his health care companion.
"Yes, Hiro?" Aunt Cass answered back.
"Can I go to Gogo's house to hang out with the gang?" Hiro asked sheepishly with a smirk as he laughed on the inside.
"Of course, sweetie! Just make sure to return home before dinner!" Aunt Cass said in her free voice as if nothing else was going on.
Hiro gagged at his aunt still calling him 'sweetie.' She would never change. He continued on and helped his big friend out the window. After much effort, Baymax squeezed out of the window and jetted off with Hiro attached to his back.
Hiro reached into his sweat's (pants) pockets and equipped the thumb drive and inserted it into Baymax's capsule. A screen flashed on the robot's back as Hiro disengaged his hands from the robot's back to examine the video.
"Play." Hiro commanded as the video began to play.
The video played a man dressed in a cloak and Kabuki mask (most notably the one Mr. Callaghan used) terrorizing the town. Lights blew out, stuff began to roll and roam around the streets madly, and large cracks formed into the earth as the buildings quaked.
Hiro enlarged the screen and examined the scene intently. Mr. Kabuki did not seem to have any technology on him, that is of course if his mask didn't conceal any sort of programming device attached to it. Many items were floating in the air, seemingly without a a control. And the lights were flickering out because of the earthquake ruptures. A long time ago when San Fransokyo was San Fransisco, earthquakes were common so they built San Fransokyo and upgraded the ground beneath so earthquakes wouldn't be as common. This was strange, maybe they were up against something different.
Baymax landed near the others on the West Island as Hiro slipped off the robot and gathered with his friends who were already stationed at the entrance. Wasabi already sliced open the door.
"Well? Did you catch anything?" Honey Lemon asked with a chem-ball at the ready.
Hiro shook his head solemnly with a straight face. "No. But I want to get a hand on his mask and see if something's programmed into it. Maybe it's technology that's not invented yet." Hiro said, trying to be reasonable.
"Bro, that's like saying there's someone better at technology than us, and we are the top five students at the top technology school in the world." Wasabi said as he powered on his plasma lasers. "So that's basically saying we are the top five geniuses in the entire freaking world." Wasabi shrugged.
Hiro looked down, he couldn't make sense of it all because Wasabi had a point. "I know. But we never know what we're up against. Besides, this could be interesting! But for now, let's see what we're up against... before this breaks out on the news and dinner."
Hiro began to march into the power plant with the others following him with Baymax trailing behind, powers at the ready.
But to be frankly honest, Hiro was scared. Hiro was always the type of boy who knew there was a logical matter behind everything. This time, there seemingly wasn't. It made the teen worried and confused. He didn't know what they were up against. This was like battling Mr. Callaghan all over again. Dangerous, deadly, and in secret. Who knows what would happen?
Hiro was determined to figure out what exactly his saw and who was behind the mask. He was ready for a real fight... or was he?
So there it is. How was it? Please let me know:) I'll update soon and hopefully I'll be able to sort out what'll happen and hopefully it'll be interesting. PLEASE leave a review and make sure to check out my other stories! Thanks! Peace!
