The place was loud, dark, and crowded, but as I walked through them I saw her.
Sitting at the bar, she was pealing off the label to a long neck bottle whiling bobbing her head
to the beat of the music.
I made my way through the people dancing and went straight to her, taking in every thing about
her.
Her short spiky black hair had a slight blue tint to it that I had never scene before.
Her clothes were simple, a black silk tank top tucked into a purple mini skirt. I couldn't keep my
gaze from tracing down her legs, not that I really tried not to. They wear short, cute, and
perfectly formed. She was tapping her left foot on the bottom of her stool.
I was only standing a foot away from her now. It seamed as though a path had been made and I
could look straight at her without any one or any thing getting in the way.
I stood there and just watched as she ran a hand through her hair.
"I love her," I whispered.
There was no point in whispering since the music is still blaring, and it's not like my love is
a secret. Quit the opposite, when I look at her like this I want to go stand on a roof top and
scream my feelings to the world. But of coerce I never do.
She turns her head and sees me.
I smile.
She smiles back.
"Is this seat taken?" I ask indicating the one beside her.
She grins at me, she has a beautiful smile that just makes you want to smile back all day.
"Only by you," she replies. She waves the bar tender over. "Get him whatever he wants, and put
it on my tab."
"Scotch on the rocks," I tell him. I don't actually drink so I didn't know what I was ordering,
but it was something I had heard Duo order a dozen times so it seamed like the right thing to
say.
I turn my focus back on her.
"Do you come her often?"
She shakes her head no. "This is the first time, but when Duo opened up this club he gave me a
tab."
I'm content just looking at her while she drinks, but after a while I start noticing that I'm
not the only man who's attracted to her.
The bartender and a man at the end were talking and kept looking over at us, mostly at her.
"Any one else flirt with you?" The question came out before I knew I was even thinking about
asking.
"Flirt?" She shakes her head. "The bartender is nice and one guy asked me to dance but nothing
I would call flirting."
"Did you dance with him?"
She looked at me then, I mean really looked at me. Her dark blue eyes stared right into my
green eyes, I felt like she was reading my heart and soul.
Then she laughed. "You're jealous!"
It was true, but she didn't have to laugh and say it like that.
"I didn't dance with him."
Those words soothed me a bit.
She leaned over and kissed my cheek.
It was only on the cheek but I still felt like I was in heaven.
She leaned into me and whispered,"I only dance with my husband."
Usually when I guy walks into a bar and a beautiful woman says that it hurts. But in this case
it was good news, very good.
I got off of my stool and offered her my arm,"Want to dance?"
"Thought you'd never ask."
A slow song started to play and I pulled her close to me.
She sighed and buried her face into my chest. "I've missed you so much."
I had been away on a preventer business for two months. I thought I would go nuts if I didn't
see her soon. I wasn't sure how to put those thoughts and all of the feelings behind them into
words so I just held her a little tighter and kissed the top of her head.
We swayed to the music just content to be together.
"I love you, Trowa Barton."
That was it, those three little words summed up all of those feelings perfectly.
"Hilde, I love you too."
