"Or else…" Rufus Shinra threatened, he almost screamed. I would never see any of my friends again, including him. But I knew Rufus was too weak to stop him. He already tried several times, but he failed every time he tried to kill him. When he said he would keep me from seeing him again, I ran away. I ran out of his office. The hallway was completely deserted, but suddenly Tseng came out of the elevator. Rufus yelled at him he had to stop me. I kept running, Tseng didn't do anything to stop me. "Good luck," he said when I ran past him. I smiled, even though he couldn't see it.

I was walking down the street, passing all the shops that were closed by now. I coughed. I could see my breath; it was one of the coldest days in the year. After a few minutes, I turned around. No one was following me, though I could see the Shin-Ra building in the distance. I shivered. Yes, it was cold, but also the thought of Rufus just made me sick. He fell in love with me. Well, sort of. When I rejected him he got so mad, he forced me to stay with him. At least, he tried. And yeah, you know what happened next…

I put my hands in my pockets and pulled up my collar a bit again. It was so cold, now it even started to snow. In my deep thinking I almost tripped over some wood that was just randomly spread over the street. I coughed again. I suddenly felt an arm wrapping around me.

"You alright?" a recognisable voice said to me. I looked around for the voice that came with the arm. It was him. I smiled.

"Yeah… Thanks, Kadaj," I said smiling while I wrapped my arm around his waist too.

"Hey Kadaj… Something happened a few minutes ago," I carefully began to speak about it.

"What? Something bad?" he answered. It sounded really concerned, so I told him everything that had happened.

"Kadaj… I'm scared…"

"Don't worry Kaiya. I will protect you against everyone and everything, always."

"Thank you… So much," I said smiling. I laid my head on his shoulder. We walked all the way to the still destroyed Midgar, as everyone lives in Edge now, towards the restored church. We would meet Yazoo and Loz there, probably their boy- and girlfriend too. Yazoo's gay. So what? He found his perfect match, and even Loz managed to find someone who's perfect for him.

When we reached the church, Yazoo nor Loz were there yet. I walked towards the flowers, looking for the miniature statue of Sephiroth I hid in the flowerbed. Aerith would probably hate me for that, but I don't care for her. Don't think about her Kaiya, she's not worth it. Kadaj is back safely and all for 2 years now, so don't worry about her. I was right.

As I was searching for the little statue, Kadaj' phone rang; he got a text message.

"It's Yazoo," he said, answering my unasked question. He read the message, and chuckled.

"He says: 'Can't come, I've got to handle some business at the moment. Y.' Busy, right Yazoo…" We laughed. We both knew what he meant by that. Then I received a text message too. I opened the message:

"kaiya, i lost kadaj' phone#, but i guess u can tell him 2. im sorta busy rite now, so i cant come"

I started to read it out loud. After he heard what Loz messaged too, we both laughed.

"Well, I guess that makes just the two of us…" Kadaj said while walking towards me. I slowly walked towards him too. We walked closer and closer, until finally we both leaned in for a sweet kiss. Then I saw and heard that the front door was being opened. It was Elena walking in.

"Kaiya, Shinra…" Apparently she saw us. I didn't care and neither seemed Kadaj. We slowly opened our mouths and continued with what we were doing.

"Never mind," she said half chuckling, and she walked away.
