Bella's P.O.V
"Alright. Well, don't hurt yourself, Bella," Edward's silky smooth voice said into the receiver. "I won't, Edward. I promise. Bye."
I hung up the phone and sighed. When would I see Edward again? Time will tell, I guess.
I got dressed for bed in my baggy T-shirt and sweatpants, and crawled under the covers. I immediately felt drowsy. Was I really that tired? I rubbed my eyes and turned out my light. Once my head hit my pillow, I fell instantly to sleep.
I was standing in a strange room. It was all white. I was sitting in a white chair. And across from me standing at the other end of a huge table, was a boy. Not Edward. And it was definitely not Jacob. So who was it?
"Hi, Bella."
His voice wasn't deep yet, so he must be about fourteen. He had black, shaggy hair, and sea green eyes. He nodded to me. "Strange things happen in Dreamworld, Bella. Just so you know."
I raised an eyebrow apprehensively. "Dreamworld? What's that?"
But the boy just laughed and shrugged my question away. "See you soon, okay?"
And the boy faded away.
I jumped up. Edward was sitting in the chair across the room, smirking at me. "What?!" I asked defensively.
He chuckled. "You were murmuring in your sleep."
I blushed. "What'd you hear?"
"Dreamworld… hmm… what is Dreamworld, Bella?" he cooed.
I raised an eyebrow. "If I asked it, why would I know?" I retorted.
He laughed. "Good point, Bella. Very good point."
"Did you dream about anything, Edward?" I asked, walking to my dresser.
He laughed mockingly. "I don't sleep, remember Bella?"
I blushed again. "Oh, yeah. Right."
"But what did you dream about?" he asked.
I paled form blushing. That dream still puzzled me more than the concept of werewolves. "Nothing," I said flatly.
He got up and strode towards me. He grabbed my shoulders affectionately. "Bella, please tell me," he said innocently.
I ached to tell him. I was firing on the inside. But I kept my ground. "I repeat. Nothing."
He scowled, but gave up. "Fine. See you tomorrow, Bella," he growled.
And he hopped out the window.
