C is for Cake
Another one. These are brilliant to do. Hope you enjoy! Okay, I have to get up in 5 hours so this is last one tonight!
Where was she? Gio looked around at the room filled with his closest friends and family but the love of his life was nowhere to be found. She had sent him a text saying she was running late, but he had not expected this.
The lights went down and Gio knew what would be happening now. The bit he usually dreaded. He figured he could handle it today as long as Betty was by his side. But where was she?
"Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy Birthday dear Gio. Happy birthday to you," all of his friends and family sang.
Gio smiled appreciatively as they pulled out a rather large cake. It was about ten layers high and had chocolate icing around the edges. It was the most exquisite thing he had ever seen.
"Happy Birthday," a voice said, as Betty popped out of the cake with little more than a bathing suit on. She had a tiny cupcake in her hand with a single candle on it.
Gio smiled and pulled Betty out of the fake cake and gave her a bear hug. "You really are the best!" he exclaimed as he kissed her with all the love in his body.
"So, is this my present?" he asked as he looked appreciatively over her body.
Betty smirked. "Just you wait until later. Your present is in the room wrapped in a big bow… or it will be!" she said as she sauntered away. Gio stood where he was stunned. This was going to be the best birthday ever.
