Hoot Hoot.
"Oh!" exclaimed Hermione.
The owl caught her my surprise, making her drop her novel: Jane Eyre.
She reached for the window, opening it just enough for the owl to soar indoors, then shutting it. It was snowing, too wintry for Hermione's taste.
Dear Hermione,
How are you? I hope you are well. Were you able to get the memory charms off of your parents? I trust you had no trouble.
I found Dumbledore's pensive when I went to help reconstruct Hogwarts. Professor McGonagall told me I could keep it, since I mostly got the prospect of using it. So, I had an idea. I thought we, all of our friends from Hogwarts, could just append some memories into it. Then, we could all enter and see what was put within.
I thought I would send an owl to some acquaintances and friends: such as you, the Weasleys, Luna, Neville, and others in our year (Maybe even a few of the professors?), and we could meet at my flat on, say, Wednesday?
Please send a reply as soon as possible.
With love,
Harry Potter.
Hermione placed the letter on the table after she finished reading it. Dumbledore's pensive? And he was allowed to keep it? That was amazing. She always found it so interesting, she'd read about it before. But she'd never got the chance to ever use one. And when Harry would tell her and Ron about his adventures, it only made it more and more intriguing for her.
It would definitely be fun for all of them to gather again, for something like this. It'd draw them back together after the war. Luna, Neville, and the Weasley's. It would be perfect. Then again, that would mean Ron. And it wasn't like she had anything against him. But after the kiss during the war, they hadn't talked about it again. And it wasn't like she didn't know why.. She knew it was because they both didn't think it would be fair to be happy after Fred had just passed. And plus, Harry and Ginny had already gotten together. It just wouldn't have been right. They didn't want to upset anyone. And they just hoped the other understood. So they never once talked about it, and parted their ways for summer.
She didn't send him letters, because he always hated replying. She remembered the end of fifth year. She had said, 'Remember to write.' And he replied with, 'You know I won't.' While Harry said that he would. So she didn't really bother him unless it was important. Plus she still didn't trust the owl mail. She didn't know what Death Eaters could still be out there.
She grabbed a pen and immediately started writing, though missing the feeling of the Quill's she used back in Hogwarts.
Harry,
That's so awesome that you got to keep Dumbledore's pensive. I always wanted to try that out. I'm up for whenever, I'll let my parents know. But they'll be sure to let me go. This is such an opportunity! I never thought I'd get to use one!
I don't know which memories to put in but I'll figure it out. I hope it's soon! Now I'm just too excited.
Hope you're doing well,
Hermione.
She then fed Hedwig an owl treat, and tied the letter around her leg. She watched as Hedwig ate the treat quick, and happily. Nipping her hand quickly, showing how eager she was and then soared back out the window.
The only thought going through Hermione's mind, was all the thoughts she wanted to put in the pensive. She was too excited.
REVIEW.
KBYE!
