. The young man's staff rustled the grass as he slumped over in boredom. Today was the day his brotherwas to give him a lecture about survival before he headed out to travel on his own.
"..And so NEVER forget your anti-bear underwear! Gon?..GON!? Pay attention!!"
"Eh?!" Gon jumped up erratically; dropping his staff to the ground.
"I was just explaining the last little bit of the lessons. Did you catch it by any chance? Hmmm?!" The older brother, Yottsu, stared at Gon intensely.
"Well, umm, yeah? Well I got the basics. C'Mon, lets go see if mom is done with dinner!" Gon replied nervously as he picked up his staff and ran tor wards his house inside the city's walls. Yottsu simply sighs and follows after Gon.
After several tiring minutes of running the duo makes it home. Breathing heavily they both lean against the wall. the door clicks open as the brothers jump back a two feet or so from the wall.
"Oh? I'm sorry did I scare you two?" A female voice spoke from beyond the door.
"Yeah, mom! Horribly! I might be in need of a new pair of undies!"
The mother chuckled and proposed that the two come inside for dinner.
As the sun rose on the next day, Gon had already been up gathering his supplies for his journey. "Today, I'll begin my journey to be a powerful Summoner like Yottsu." he thought as he picked up the pack containing he necessities. He walked into the kitchen and placed a note on the table to inform his mother that he had decided to leave early. As he left the front door he let out a slight chuckle of excitement, unaware that his brother had watched him leave from his bedroom window.
