Part 2
The wind blows now. I look down at my fallen opponent and grin. He is defeated, and hollow inside. The voices announce my victory and I smile and lift my hands in the air for victory. The crowd cheers my name. Then I awaken. A dream, a broken empty dream. I scream and throw my hands up in the air, not for victory as in my dream, but in despair. That's not how it happened, and now I'm alone. My whole life down the drain. I look back on the day, and cry.
I walk to the arena smiling, today I will be a master. I walk up to the pedestal and watch my screaming fans. I do nothing. Then my opponent walks in and takes his place. He has two people with him, they look familiar. He smiles and waves to the crowd. Fool, the crowd will do nothing but distract you. A voice booms "3 Pokemon apiece, last one stading wins, begin!" I grasp my pokeball in my hand and wait for him to make his move. He doesn't budge. Fine then, I will go first, I send out Nidoking. It's muscles bulge, he is very strong and he should be. I saved up enough to buy the most powerful moon stone I could buy. Aparently my opponent has no psychic pokemon so he sends out a Bulbasaur. I laugh, such a low level pokemon. I command my pokemon to use Horn Attack, and he does. The Bulbasaur is too fast. I must use close contact attacks, it looks very speedy. "Body Slam" I say, as my Nidoking charges towards the small grass pokemon. The Bubasaur jumps up and over my Nidoking and begins absorbing the sunlight. I gasp as Nidoking falls to the ground, hit from the powerful Solar Beam. I return him and send out Arcanine. It howls and the Bulbasaur shrinks back. I command it to use Agility and it knocks the Bulbasaur down. A Fire Blast finishes the job as the pokemon has nowhere else to go. We're tied now and my opponent sends out a Squirtle. Another low level pokemon, what is wrong with him. At least he got a lucky break with that Bulbasaur. I command a Take Down and Arcanine jumps into the air. All of a sudden the Squirtle rolls out from under it and sprays a powerful spray of bubbles. Bubblebeam. I wonder how he could afford such a rare TM when I see the girl behind him smile. Must of been a present from her I think to myself. My Arcanine is still in the running though and manages to get in a Bite. The Squirtle is harmed but pulls off a Water Gun. Arcanine falls. I curse, one pokemon left. Blastoise comes out. "Hydro Pump!" I yell and the Squirtle falls. I smile, I can win this. My opponent sends out Pikachu. "Skull Bash!" I scream and Blastoise crashes head on into the Pikachu. It falls, have I won? It looks very hurt and it's trainer runs up to it, I can make out what he says.
"Pikachu, we can do this, it's our dream, never give up."
"Pika?"
"I love you Pikachu."
"Pikachu!" The Electric mouse jumps up.
"THUNDER!" yells the trainer. I scream as I watch Blastoise fall, devestated by the bolt of thunder that smacked into it. I fall to one knee, I have lost...
Friendship, that's how he won. I had none and I still have none. No friends, no one. I am all alone. I cry and look at the sky and remember the vow I made the first day I started training. "I will be a master" was what I had said, and I had failed. No more pain. I looked at the small necklace my sister May had given me and smiled, but she was gone... I grabbed a small knife from my backpack. I look it over, and tears come to my eyes."I am Gary Oak, and I will never be a Master." I choke and then I kill myself, and end it all.
In Pallet, a man dreams...

The crowd cheers my name. I have finally won. "I am Ash from pallet, and I am a Master!" I say triumphantly. Then I awaken...
