It was a late windy Saturday evening and the smell of steaming broccoli was coming up from the kitchen. Although Alexis was trying very hard to focus on her homework, the thought of food kept taking over. She was trying to think what the variable x's value was, but her thoughts would dash every time she smelled the broccoli. She grew frustrated and decided to make her way downstairs to find something to eat. As she stood up and pushed her chair under her desk, a loud clamor and crack could be heard outside of her bedroom window. Alexis was startled and looked straight at the window. She quickly made her way to the window, and as she looked out, she could see a very large tree had fallen onto the neighboring house. She was astonished and raced to her doorway where she tripped over her exercise ball and plummeted down on her face. When she hit the floor, she cried out in pain and couldn't move. After the initial shock, Alexis began to be able to move and finally rose up. She shook her body and patted her face, but she did not feel right. Alexis tried her best to make it to the stairs, but she was met with a major headache, and she began to black out.
She stumbled onto the first stair and was caught off balance.
She fell onto the second.
And then she flew down the stairs, but luckily, she blacked out before she hit the ground.
