Back to Hell

Alice walked along the banks with a book in her hands and gave a great sigh that held a peaceful serenity about it. Just the very way the meadows seemed to sweep with wheat filled her with happiness.

It wasn't until she was upon the doorsteps to her house that she noticed a great, smiling face up in the trees. To her horror it was what she feared;

The Cheshire Cat!

"What do you want?!" she cried as she felt herself slip slowly into slumber. "I will not go back! Never! Never, I say!"

The Cat began to giggle like a school girl, his padded paws could be heard against the bark of the tree. "No, no Alice! Back through the Looking Glass you go!"

"No!" Alice's defiant british accent was filled with agony. "No!"

In she went, spinning through a vortex of bright colors and what not as she plummeted to the bottomless abyss. The cats chompers could be seen above her. At last, what seemed an hour of falling, Alice felt herself hit the floor below.

It was a checkered floor, she noticed as she rose. To her surprise there were identical doors only two yards away from her. When she began to run, Alice realized that she was only getting further and further away from her desination.

A haunting melody filled the room, promising of tea parties and warm, summer nights. It was unavoidable.

Alice was back in Wonderland, her own private hell.

~It has been a long time since I've read the books, but I think I did a relatively good job in creating the world. Hmm.. Maybe I'll make it a silly humor tale where the Cheshire cat becomes the Red Queen? Who knows, right? Haha.. I have lots of typos.. I really need to re-read the series!~
