GLaDOS' Ultimate Test.

Chell kept on having flashbacks of leaving Aperture Science Enrichment Centre and this one was accompanied with a twinge of sadness. "I miss Aperture" she whispered to herself, staring down at the paper in front of her. "W-What?" asked a young man who reminded her somewhat of Wheatley. "Don't worry." Chell smiled. She usually went straight back to work after having flashbacks but for some reason she couldn't stop thinking about Wheatley and GLaDOS.

She looked at the young man, studying him closely. "You remind me of someone. He tried to kill me but I do miss him." Chell smiled, she wasn't really mute, she just never had a good reason to talk to the two homicidal AI's back at Aperture. The man looked up, his eyes widening "Really? I mean I-I mean it's not like he r-really wanted to k-k-ill you did he…?" He seemed very worried for some reason. "Yes, really and oh, I don't know..." Suddenly she was hit by a longing to see Aperture so crippling she stopped breathing for a few seconds. "…I … got to go" she managed to cough out. She looked out of the window towards a wheat field and sped off down the stairs and out the door.

Running, she got to the wheat field and looked around, feverishly to see if anyone was looking. "Where could that dratted lift be for god's sake?!" "I thought I told you to stay away" a horribly familiar voice sounded, cutting the silence and making Chell jump. "Even if I die, I've just got to see Aperture again!" "…Oh. How interesting…" The voice intoned. Chell shuffled her feet anxiously "May I come in?" "… Fine." The lift suddenly appeared out of the ground, making Chell turn around quickly. "Well. Let's hope you don't kill me for this." Chell stepped into the lift, sighing quietly as she did so.

"Welcome…back." the voice murmured. Chell stepped out of the lift only to see the great body of GLaDOS right in front of her. "Gah-"Chell jumped and banged into the lift door as it was closing. "Well done lunatic. The first thing you do; bang into the lift door." GLaDOS groaned. "I didn't expect to seeyou right there, GLaDOS!" Chell groaned, defensively. "I know… By the way, Wheatley… isn't here right now." Chell blinked twice and frowned while raising her eyebrows. "Why?" GLaDOS moved away, avoiding eye contact and stayed silent. "Now who's hiding something" muttered Chell with a glint in her eyes. "I know, I know." GLaDOS said, in a tone what suggested that she'd be rolling her eyes if it was possible to do so.

Chell realised that she was still pressed up against the lift door and stepped forwards. "So… how's Aperture been?" asked Chell, tentatively. "Fine. Just fine." GLaDOS said, regaining her normal tone of voice. "Really? Well I imagine you…" Chell shrunk back under the glare that GLaDOS directed at her, looking down. "When I say fine, I mean fine. Nothing more to say." GLaDOS moved away, slowly. Chell then realised that there was probably a deathly dose of neurotoxin coming her way soon and she tensed up. Soon afterwards though, it was clear that GLaDOS wasn't going to kill her, not yet at least.
