A/N: I should be writing my other 'Phoebe-has-to-choose-between-life-or-love' story but this sprouted in my head so I decided I should write it! Luke/Thalia. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: I don't own Luke, Thalia or Percy Jackson. Only this plot.

"Fight, you coward!"

Luke spun around, his sword gripped in his hand. "Who dares to call me a coward?" Luke said through gritted teeth. "Me." A fierce voice said. And in the light, Thalia stepped up. She held a sword instead of her usual bow and arrow, but she was wearing the normal hunter's clothes while Luke had a suit of armor on him.

"Thalia?" Luke asked in surprise. "I can't believe you would betray us. Betray me." Thalia hissed, striking at Luke. Luke deflected her blade. "They were going to kill me!" Luke said angrily, pushing Thalia back with his blade. She stumbled back a few steps, but didn't back down. "I can't believe I trusted you!" Thalia screamed in frustration, charging at Luke.

Luke dodged and blocked. Thalia was immortal. She couldn't die. But she could in battle. Luke could kill her. But he couldn't bring himself to do it- this was Thalia.

Thalia swung underhand, her sword lashing against Luke's knees. This caught Luke off guard as he toppled over, his sword falling out of his grasp. Thalia was quick. She stood over Luke, the tip of her sword pointed at his chest. Luke couldn't reach his sword- his fingertips brushed on the handle, but he couldn't reach it. "You can't kill me, Thalia." Luke chocked.

"I can." Thalia said, her eyes blazing with anger as she pressed the tip of her blade harder against Luke's chest. Luke's mind flashed back to the times Thalia, Annabeth and him were on the run. "Promise." He said suddenly. Confusion flickered in Thalia's eyes. "I made a promise. We're family Thalia. Family." Luke murmured, closing his eyes. He remembered Thalia, sitting beside him at the fire, laughing merrily at one of his jokes. They poked and prodded the fire with twigs or sticks while Annabeth slept, snoring softly and occasionally mumbling about unicorns or cotton candy.

The tip of Thalia's blade softened on Luke's chest. "Open your eyes." Luke heard Thalia say. He opened his eyes and saw Thalia looking down at him. The fire in her eyes were doused by the tears rolling down her cheeks.

"You're right. I can't kill you." Thalia whispered, pulling away. She took a few steps back as she threw her sword on to the ground. There she stood in front of Luke, defenseless. "But you can kill me, right? Because I'm worthless. I'm nothing to you." Thalia said, her face impassive but her eyes gave it all away. They were full of tears and sadness- reflecting the broken promises Luke had given her.

Luke stood up. His knees were so weak that he almost toppled over, but he managed to limp over to Thalia. Luke stroked Thalia's cheek. "I can. By loving you." He whispered, leaning in. He met Thalia's lips in a soft kiss- a soft, deadly kiss.

And it was over.
Thalia was loving a boy- it was against her oath. She was to die.
But right now, that didn't matter. All that mattered now was Luke Castellan was kissing her- and she liked it.

A/N: I hope you liked it!
