"I get to meet Josh Hutcherson; I get to meet Josh Hutcherson!" Gabi sang, dancing in her seat. She was extremely excited to be here in New York to meet him! They would have dinner and he would escort her to the Catching Fire premiere! Oh yeah!
She heard someone approach her table and she looked up into the gorgeous eyes of Joshua Ryan Hutcherson. She suddenly felt extremely self-conscious and knew she was star struck. How could she not be? "Uuuum, hi! I'm Gabriella, but you can call me Gabi. Nice place to eat, don't you think? Gosh it's hot in here! Are you hot 'cause I'm hot!" she rambled. At his slightly freaked-out look, she went completely red and buried her face in her hands. "Sorry," she mumbled. "I'm a little nervous." Josh laughed and said, "Aw, don't worry! I'm nervous too, so let's be nervous together!" Gabi peeked up at him and saw him smiling gently.
She sat up and nodded sheepishly. He laughed and she had to fight hard not to swoon. He sat and began to ask her questions about where she lived, what her hobbies were, and things like that. They ordered and continued talking while they waited, but when their food came they both stopped to devour it. They looked at each other and laughed. "Sorry! I normally have much better manners than this, but I haven't eaten since the bagel I had this morning. What's your excuse?" he asked, smirking. Gabi grinned and said, "Well, I only had a cup of coffee while I waited for my flight 'cause I get slightly air-sick, so I didn't want to eat." Josh winced. "Yeesh, that sucks. I hate air-sickness; I get it sometimes too."
"Really? Wow. How bad?" Gabi asked. Josh shrugged. "Not really that bad, just when I'm on the plane for too long." Gabi nodded, agreeing. They finished their meal in comfortable silence and then stood up to leave. Josh insisted on taking care of the bill and Gabi almost swooned at his chivalry.
As they left, he turned to her, grinning. "Are you ready for the premiere?" he asked. Gabi snorted and shook her head. "Uh, no." He grinned even wider. "Me either. Let's get going!" With a laugh, he ran ahead of her. Gabi giggled and ran after him. Oh, this was going to be so much fun!
