Darkest Hour
AN: I wrote this in my Sophomore year of high school, just cause I was bored, and needed to write a poem. Of course, the first thing that popped in my mind was TRANSFORMERS! Do a slagging Transformers poem! Needless to say, the kids still call me 'Robot Girl' and 'Transformers Freak'. Specailly cause I keep wearing lots of Transformers stuff to school...And for a pep rally...I stenciled the AutoBot sigil on my chest and wore a tube top...
"It will light our Darkest Hour."
Thats what he'd told me
Then my commander passed the blessed thing to me.
Now here I am, gun fire all around me
Trying to pull the dammed thing apart.
"Prime, you said the Matrix...would...Light our Darkest Hour."
He was wrong.
Its looking pretty dark as pain raced though me.
Is it getting darker? Or is it just me?
"Untill the day Till all are One." He'd said.
I'm beginning to doubt it myself.
I can feel my circuts over heating.
Dire warnings of Critical and Red blare loudly in my eyes and ears.
Its over. I replay Primes last speech in my mind.
"Do not Greive...Soon I will be one...with the Matrix...."
I had whispered "Prime..."
He had turned to me, his optics glowing unhealtihly. "Ultra Magnus...it is...to you...Old Friend...That I pass the Matrix of Leadership to...as it was passed to me."
Of course I replied
"But Prime...I'm just a soldier. I'm not worthy..."
He had managed to gasp, "Nor was...I. It is said, that the Chosen One, will use the Matrix to Light our Darkest Hour."
He opened his chest and tried to hand it to me, but he was far too weak.
He dropped it.
"Untill the Day....'Till all are One."
He watched it place it in myself, then the moniters flatlined. Their shrill screeching filling my audio sensors.
He was dead.
Now Galvatron is over what remains of me.
I'm in peices, just barley alive. I had just enough power to see him pluck the Matrix from my chest.
Then I realized the horrible truth...now I know why I couldnt use the Matrix....
Just as it was about to hit the floor...Hot Rod!
He was the Chosen One! Not me!
Too late now...Sweet Oblivion...Dear Primus...
I have failed Thee...
I'm sorry Optimus.
It was always darkest before dawn.
