Chapter One ~ Finally Sixteen

A/N: Thanks for reading this, and I hope you'll be patient with me. This is my first fanfic and I have my sister editing it. Hopefully it won't be too bad ;).
Namine's POV
I woke up. Finally, I was sixteen. I had two seconds of celebration, and then a feeling of dread bubbled up inside me. Shopping. That was what we were doing fro my birthday. Kairi insisted upon having a death sentence birthday party. Shopping. Ugh. After I ate and got dressed Kairi came into my room.
"Ready to shop?"
"No." I said, inching towards my bed.
"Oh, come on."
"No." I grabbed my bed post with both hands. Kairi took that as a sign of stubbornness. She grabbed my foot and started to pull. The bed post broke and she got me out of the house. When we got to the mall Kairi dragged me out of the car. I sighed.
"Kairi, I really don't want to go shopping."
"Oh, comm. on" She said, grabbing my shoulders and shaking. "We're girls, we're sixteen, and we shop!" I sighed. Kairi could be so persistent.
"You're late." Said Xion, walking up and taking the bed post. "What's this?" She asked.
"I had to drag Namine out of bed." Kairi said. Xion looked at the bed post and looked at me. Then she looked at Kairi. Then me. Then the post. Then Xion walked to the nearest Dumpster and threw the post in.
"At least," She said, "That's one more thing to buy. You guys are crazy." She walked into the mall. We followed, laughing our heads off.
