Here I sit
Waiting.
The darkness seemingly crawling all around me. There is no escape from its clutches. Not for me, anyway.I've been sitting here, like this, since noon.
Waiting.
Seems like the only thing I do, these days. I even stopped travelling for a little while, and just waited. I stopped seeking. Just because of what has happened. Its selfish really. But in the state I'll be soon, its necessary. I can't let myself hurt Al. Ever.
So I must wait. So must he. Though, he thinks I'm back at the hotel, asleep, most likely. And he'll be sitting awake. He can never sleep. Not until we reach our goal.
Not until I can stop waiting.
The forest around me is dim. The light is fading, and along with it, the heat of the day. I hug my cloak around myself, and watch as the last rays of warm dappled light sinks out of my eyesight. Now, its is almost time. I can almost stop waiting.
I sigh, hugging myself to my knees, still cold. The cool steel that makes up two of my limbs isn't helping, either.
Ahhh, the moon.
The cause of all my waiting.
Its slowly climbing into the sky, and I can only just see it above the tree tops.
The moon is here.
The hunt begins.
