Whether it's a good or bad thing, I don't know but I write fanfics when I'm bored. So this is one of the things that came out of it. I honestly don't care how you beak up Chloe and Oliver in your mind, but in this they are broken up.

Tess hates talking about Alexander or Connor, whatever. It reminds her that she couldn't protect him. And, Oliver's noticed how uncomfortable it makes her. He's also noticed that whenever she feels uncomfortable she rubs her wrist.
And he knows why. She rubs her wrist for the familiarity of the bracelet that he never doubts is there. It's funny that after all this time the bracelet of her long dead best friend is still comforting to her. He loves that she still has it.
This tells him that somewhere in there, the old Mercy is still in there somewhere. And, honestly, that gives a lot of comfort to Oliver. Tess did that even when they where together.
Not that he minds the new Tess. In fact he cares about her now, as much as he did them.
It's funny, also, that he still has feeling for her after all this time.
Tess needs something to distract her from what they're all talking about. she just can't focus on that anymore Whenever Oliver gets distracted or is worried or uncomfortable he reaches into his pocket. And Tess knows exactly what he's going for. He's going for the same thing he always went for even when they were together. His father's pocket watch. He loved, probably still loves, that watch. It means everything to him.
She knows that no matter what brave face he puts on he's still the terrified man that never knows what he wants. Knowing exactly what he's feeling brings comfort to her. It shows Tess that some things never change.
Also, no matter what they've gone through Tess still has feelings for Oliver.
And both always will. Whether fortunately or unfortunately, that's a fact. Neither like it, neither hate it, but simply don't know how to live any other way. So neither notice.
