Wow, I'm even on time! I have no idea what to think of the season premiere. It felt like a mindfuck...but an angsty one. I think they broke Sam. So here's my response. In exactly 100 words.

Darkness and Shadow
The light still stung his eyes.
Dean had told him that hell was industrial—grinding chains, hooks.
But the cage was unearthly black—undulating darkness concealing demons, feeding off desolation.
So he moved within shadows, gliding unseen. He trailed Dean to Ben's football practice, the park.
Something distantly warmed him. Emotions that he couldn't recognize, but they were good, soft, bright.
He ached to reveal himself, to stumble into the light, and his brother's arms, but he flashed to hellacious prison, those first days topside, snarling and spitting like the feral thing he was now, and stayed in the shadows.
