1. The Chief's Office
Max and 99 went into the Chief's office. 99 was hobbling on one foot.
"Hi Max, 99. How was the mission?"
"A complete success!," said Max. "Here, Chief."
Digging in his coat pocket, he pulled out a small reel of film. He gave this to the chief.
"Excellent! Great work, you two." They both thanked him. "What happened to your foot, 99?"
"I tripped, while running. The shoes I wore had really high heels."
"I see. Would you like to see our doctor?"
"No thanks. I'll just rest it for a few hours."
"I'll take care of her!"
"You do that, Max! All right, you two are dismissed. Take the rest of the day off."
They both thanked him and left.
2. The Smart House
They went home.
"Now, you sit on the couch and relax a while."
"But Max-"
"-Do as I say! I'll be right back."
She sighed. "Yes Max."
He left. A couple minutes later, he came back with a large bowl of hot water and a towel. He knelt down and put the bowl at her feet. Then he took her left shoe off and placed the foot in the bowl.
"You let it soak for a while."
"Uh, Max?"
"Yes, 99?"
"That's the wrong foot!"
"Oh. Sorry about that!"
She took it out. He took her right shoe off and put her foot in the bowl.
"There."
"Uh, Max?"
"What now?"
"I've still got my stocking on!"
"That can soon be remedied!"
He ripped the stocking just above her ankle, then pulled the foot portion off. Then he put her foot back in the bowl.
"There!"
She smiled and shook her head!
"How is it? Is the water hot enough? I can add more, if you want."
"It's fine, thank you."
"I'm going to have a BLT sandwich. Would you like one?"
"Yes. Thank you, Max."
He made the sandwiches and cokes to go with them. Putting them on a tray, he brought them into the living room. He put it on the table, and turned the TV on. Then he gave her a sandwich and a coke, and gave it to her.
"Thank you, Max."
"Humph, the Man from UNCLE. They don't know anything about the spy business!"
"No, they don't, Max!"
They ate and watched TV for a while. Eventually, 99 took her foot out of the water and rubbed it.
"My foot feels much better, Max. Thank you."
"No problem, 99."
"You do love me, don't you?"
"Of course, 99."
"I love you too."
They kissed. Then she tried putting her foot back in the bowl. But in the process, she hit the rim, causing it to up sop and spill water on the carpet!
"Sorry about that, Max!"
