"Sabrina? Sabrina?!" a voice called after me. I tried to open my mouth to reply, but all that I could manage to do was cough. Soot and ashes clouded up the air, making it nearly impossible to see anything. My house had just crumbled into pieces after an unknown force had knocked it down, only seconds ago.

"Hello?" the voice asked again. It was feminine, and she sounded very familiar, but I couldn't think; the fact that I was going to be crushed by a building pushed its way into my thoughts. Footsteps began to approach me, but more booms shook the town, wedging me farther in between the fallen parts of the library. They sounded in sync, almost like a large person was running, but black spots began to block my vision, and I plunged deeper and deeper into a sleep.

I gained consciousness again, and immediately opened my eyes. I was still among the remains of the old building, though I had been freed of the pieces. I looked up, and saw a giant towering over me.

It had to be at least thirty feet tall, and probably weighed enough to crush me with one toe. I stared up at it, paralyzed with fear. It stared right back down at me, with a stupid-looking expression. How had a titan gotten through the wall? I wondered. The monster reached down, and grasped his huge hand around my waist. It lifted me off the ground, as if it was no trouble at all.

The titan began squeezing me, to the point where I could hardly breathe, as it brought me toward its mouth, slowly. I gasped for breath, not losing eye contact with the titan. It continued pulling me toward it, opening its huge mouth, ready to eat me. My life would soon end, just like that. I could already see the thing's huge, yellow teeth, and smell its awful breath. It threw me into its mouth, and was about to bite down, when several things happened at once.

Suddenly, a yell could be heard, coming from my left. I could only make out a silhouette as he flew past, grabbing me around the waist, just as the titan's mouth snapped shut on my leg. The titan swung its hand at the figure, but he was too fast. I was flung onto the roof of a nearby building, as I watched the figure pull out two machetes. He took two long slashes along the beasts nape, and it fell to the ground, dead.

I slid in a puddle of my own blood, until I finally came to a stop, and lay there, motionless. I bled out onto the concrete roof, as he flew back toward me. I had been taught by my older brother how to 3D maneuvering gear worked, as he was a member of the scout regiment. He came to a halt right in front of me. The sun was right behind his head, making it hard to make out who he was. He held out a hand to me, and said,

"Hi. I'm Levi."
