Marissa woke up to the sound of her phone alarm. Oh man, 12 hours of sleep just isn't enough… Especially considering she had spent the last 3 nights going to random parties with Ryan, Seth and Summer.

Now that Johnny had left for New York, her relationship with Ryan was rock steady. Life was changing. Marissa was prepared for this. But, not for change with her loving relationship. In a way, she was glad Johnny was gone. Ryan seemed, emotionally, more stable. But things were still changing. After all, graduation was coming up. College was just beginning. Seth, Summer, Ryan and Marissa were all going to the same college, right in the heart of Newport. "Newport Technical College" was the college they were all going to. Marissa was studying interior design, Ryan was studying architecture/ building, Summer was studying fashion design and Seth was studying graphic design to help with cartoon writing. They were all doing what they felt they had a passion for. For Seth, it was his escape to outer space worlds, Ryan, his passion and glory, Marissa, an awesome job with good pay and Summer, her one way ticket to Paris and shopping! Can you say, Gucci or Prada? They were all happy. Life was great. Only today, fate would take a cruel twist.

"Good morning, Kirsten. " Julie Cooper smiled as she walked into the office.
"Huh? Oh, hi." The tone was obviously not happy. I mean, who would be happy having to work with Julie.
"Kirsten, I'm so sorry I can't come to your dinner party tonight. I was at the bar last night, and I met, Michael. He's a total sweetheart and I'm going on a date. So I'll be busy tonight. Toodles!" Julie Cooper giggled to herself as she put on a fake smile and walked out the beige doorframe, leaving behind her a totally stumped Kirsten.
"Well, have fun. Obviously leisure comes before work." She found herself mumbling. Then again, this was Julie Cooper. All she cared about was looks, love and money. But that was on the outside… was she a deeper woman on the inside?
She had been homeless for a while after all and she had paid her price by staying in the local trailer park. She had told Marissa and it was totally fine. But, Marissa was still living with Dr. Roberts and Summer. Ever since the break up, Dr Roberts wasn't at all happy. In fact, he was depressed. But, he was getting better. Julie and he were going to bars recently and they were drinking martinis. That was one way to cure the pain and sorrow…

"Oh my god, she did not!" screamed Lia. (Pronounced Leah)
Lia was at the Chino airport and she was riding her convertible to Newport. Lia was from New York, but she had recently been to Paris. She was on her phone to designers in Paris talking about her new outfit she was ordering from Gucci.
"She obviously thinks she can just cancel on me, but no she can't!" Lia was in a state of shock and desperation. She was not in a happy mood. And this was the beginnings of the horror Marissa was going to face.
