Prologue:

The Mountains of Greece 1500 BCE

The boy ran, gasping for breath, his clothes torn and bloody. The forest whipped past him as he tore down the narrow track. A black and grey bow was strapped to his back along with a quiver full of midnight black arrows. Behind him, the steady pad of his pursuers' feet grew steadily louder. They were gaining on him.

There was a new sound now, the baying of wolves closing in on their prey. Ignoring the growing pain in his side and the blood seeping from an arrow wound that had not yet fully healed from his last encounter with his hunters.

A new sound now, the heavy breathing of the group chasing him. They were still closing. Then, the trees ran out and he found himself standing on the edge of a cliff high above a raging river. He swore. Turning around, he drew his bow and prepared to fire at the huntresses.

Minutes passed. Then, he heard the soft whisper of the huntresses getting ready for the final blow that would sever him from this mortal coil.

Then, twenty young women walked out of the forest bows drawn. The boy looked at them, "Took you long enough to find me… Artemis." He spat.

"You know why we're here, titan-spawn." She replied, "Now, are you going to come quietly or do I have to turn you into a jackalope."

"You've got to catch me first!" sneered the boy before letting his arrow fly at the huntresses, slinging the bow of his back and diving of the cliff.

"Shit" Artemis swore, before jogging over to the edge and looking down, but there was no body on the rocks by the river, instead, there was a fain silhouette of a man with wings flying off majestically into the distance.
