Kate looked over at Sawyer, down on his knees, a gun pointed at his head. She had never been so scared in her life. She wished that he would fight, that he wouldn't give up, she didn't want him to die.
The had been on this island, what now 60 something days. It had taken her 58 days to admit to herself, that she felt something for Sawyer, she had wasted 58 days, and now he as just giving up. Even after he had admitted that he loved her, why would he not fight?
He shouldn't be sacrificing himself for her. If he dies, what will she do, stay in the caged, by her? She would have nothing to live for.

He wished that he could take some of the pain away, take that look off her face. He couldn't stand the thought of her dieing, everyone he had ever loved, had either died, or abandoned him, he didn't think he could live with himself knowing that he had let her die.
He wanted to fight, he wanted nothing more than to fight, escape and run, with Kate by his side. Kate……… he had said that name only a handful of times. He hadn't wanted anyone to know who he really was, so he hid behind the nicknames.
"Close your eyes, freckles"
"CLOSE YOUR EYES!!"
He didn't want it to end like this, he had so many more memories he wanted to make with Kate, so many more things he wanted to say, to tell her he loved her, and that he always will.
