She was in agony. The pain was piercing and splitting at the same time like a saw going through her head. She put her hand to where she had been hit only to pull her hand out finding blood at which point she blacked out once again from the shock.
She could hear voices swarming round her worried, shocked, and scared. The voices of people she recognised but couldn't quite put names to. "...is she?" "...not...before" she could only catch snippets of all they were saying as she opened her eyes and tried to focus the light enough in order to survey her surroundings. She didn't have a clue where she was... or for that matter who she was! Everything was a blur her name, her age, her entire life. She couldn't get a clear picture of any of it. What was happening? The pain in her head was roaring, consuming her entire being as she struggled to sit, fighting against the panic that made her faint originally. Someone on the far side of the room could see her struggling and came over to help her sit. She was a kindly older woman with a soothing voice. Her eyes were a deep chocolate brown and seemed to hold within them all the compassion there was in the world. She was of a almost chubby build and small and now when she was smiling it was as if she knew her.
"There there dear... calm down now. I'm going to give you something for the pain now you're awake." As she said this she helped the girl sit up and held the concoction to her lips so she could drink. It was like magic. Suddenly the aching pain coursing through her head stopped and she could finally get a good look around without concentrating on the agony. She found herself in a large sick bay almost. There were other beds across from her with other injured or sick people in them. Although the room seemed somehow familiar she still couldn't understand why. Had she ever been here before or was it just that she had been somewhere similar? Flashes of being in this room, then a flicker and her standing at the bad across from her. One thing was sure, she had been here before.
